-Phantom -Witch's Robe
-Pumpkin Tree -Angel Bracelet
-Tropical Worm -Pretty Ribbon
-Undertaker
-Cardinal Knights (E)
-CONVICT (E)
CAP Boss
(E) Event |
- Follow the path to the ring changer. The energy in the lamp ring runs down when you're standing around, so go into the menu or something if you have to get up or stop.
- Stand in the glowing plants to charge the ring. Shoot some of the strange-looking plants to move them.
- You can follow this map out:
- Go downward from the second ring changer to get to the map and go west once on the map to get to Mizuho.
- Boss: Convict
- HP: 12000 / TP: 320
- Item Drop: Elixer / Steal: None
- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Gald: 1500 / EXP: 2250
- Suggested Level: 25~29
- Suggested Strategy: He's fairly easy. Combo him, then imediately guard against his retaliation.

- OPTIONAL: Wonder Chef in Tiga's house
- Go back into Gaoraccia Forest and take the other exit (up from the ring changer). Ozette is across the bridge.

OZETTE (1) - ALTESSA'S HOUSE (1)
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
RECIPE: Tenderloin |
- OPTIONAL: Name the dogs
- Find Presea's house and view the scene.
- OPTIONAL: There is a Wonder Chef disguised as a parrot in the inn.
- OPTIONAL: Go up near the item shop for a scene that's a part of a sidequest.
- Leave the town by the exit near Presea's house.
- Altessa's house is up against the cliff face. You may have to turn the camera to see it.
- Enter the house for a scene with Tabatha and Altessa.
- Return to Ozette and exit through the way you originally came in.
- OPTIONAL: Talk to Puninja (shopkeeper) in Mizuho for a short quest to get the Secret Notebook.
- There's a pier to use the EC at to the northeast.
(Buy a Mizuho Potion in Mizuho before leaving if you want to save some time later.) |

Dungeon: TOIZE VALLEY MINE
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Bacura -Sage
-Basilisk (petrify) -Saint Rapier
-Rock Golem -Sand Saber
-Red Roper -Iron Greaves
-Red Bat -Battle Suit
-Roller Snail -Silk Robe
-DEFENSE SYSTEM (E) -Thunder Cape
-ORBIT(E) -Super Pellets
-GUARD ARM (E) -Evil Eye
-AUTOMATIC REPAIR UNIT (E) -EX Gem Lv1
-EX Gem Lv3
-Crescent Ax
-Inhibitor Ore (E) |
- It is quickest to go north so that, thanks to the unrealistic way RPG maps wrap around, you end up in the southern parth of the world. Find the big penesula, like in the picture. The picture also vaguely shows the mine entrace in the back, so find that and go in.
- Once again the boss is at the beggining of the dungeon.
- Boss: Defense System
- HP: 12000 / TP: 100
- Item Drop: Metal Sphere / Steal: None
- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Orbit x2
- HP: 3000 / TP: 500
- Drop: None / Steal: None
- Strength: Lightning / Weakness: Lightning
- Guard Arm x4
- HP: 8000 / TP: 0
- Drop: Mythril / Steal: None
- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Auto Repair Unit
- HP: 5500 / TP: 0
- Drop: None / Steal: None
- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Gald: 1600 / EXP: 4310
- Suggested Level: 30~33
- Suggested Strategy: This can be an annoying boss but isn't too hard. The battle ends when the Defense System gets to 0 HP, regardless of how the other things are doing. You have to take out the Auto Repair Unit before you can do much damage to the Defense System. It'll come back, so just kill it again.
- There is a Sage treasure to the right of where the boss fight was.
- Go forward and find the machine that you can turn on.
- Get on the moving platform and shoot the thing in the middle of the route with the fire ring. The platform will change routes.
- The beast monster near the fancy door has a memory gem. Go down the elevator.
- Important note about the door: You don't go in it. Don't make dumb topics asking how to go in. If you pay attention to the dialogue later, you will learn why the door is there and why you can't go in.
- The bottom-right corner of this area has a ring changer. (Use the new ring with caution because it can damage you. If you can hit an enemy with it, the enemy will be destroyed instead of killed like usual.)
- In this lower area, you should find Saint Rapier, Sand Saber, and Crescent Ax. The ax is hard to see, so use this picture:
- Go back up the elevator and use the ring to destroy the big rock to the left of the fancy door.
- Go back down and change your ring back to fire.
- Go back up and get on the moving platform. Use the fire ring to change the platform's route back to default.
- Jump across the gap where the boulder used to be so that you can go back down and get the bomb ring again.
- Go up and across the gap again and ride the platform to the door on the right.
- In the door, blow up the rock and turn left in the path ahead for a treasure. In this large room, you will also find Battlesuit and Silk Robe, but those boxes are obvious enough.
- Turning on the machines has no effect. If you have a potion, you can give it to the Gnomelette now. If you don't have one, that's fine.
- Going down the new elevator will let you find Thunder Cape and Super Pellets, but you can wait a minute for that.
- Continue along the path for a scene about the boulder. There's a switch to turn the boulder off, but you need to have it on in order to continue.
- Meet the Bacura. It'll damage you if you touch, but lead it to the point indicated by this picture (as far as it'll go). Quickly run up to the tile that triggers the boulder and then run back to the little ledge on the side where you will be safe. The boulder will destroy the Bacura. If you weren't fast enough and it misses, just try again.
Note: if the boulder hits YOU, you'll be knocked down and you'll have to dodge the boulder the same way Lloyd did in the scene. It's not required, but it's easier with Lloyd's Personal Ex-Skill.
- After the Bacura is destroyed, turn the boulder off and go down the elevator where you can examine the Bacura's remains for Evil Eye, an item you need for a sidequest.
- Go past where the Bacura was to continue. There's an EX Gem down the stairs.
- When you get to a room with all the boxes, blow them up to get down the stairs.

OZETTE (2)
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Cardinal Knight
-Commander Knight |
- If you want to do the Kratos Secret Mission sidequest, you have to do the first part (in Sybak) before the scene mentioned below.
- Colette will leave your party during the scene shortly after entering Ozette. Make sure she doesn't have any important accessories, especially Aquamarine, because you might want to use them while she's gone.
- There will be an easy battle against Papal Knights when you walk in. Remember they are weak against Lightning and strong against Physical (Non-Elemental).
- Affection:
Of course. Genis +1, Raine +1, Sheena +1, Presea +3, Zelos +1, Regal +3
What do you thing, everyone? Genis +2, Raine +3, Presea +1, Zelos +3, Regal +1
- OPTIONAL: The second part of Kratos's Secret Mission sidequest is now available in the inn.
MIZUHO (2)
- Go to Mizuho. Talk to Tiga. Talk to Sheena (by the shrine).
- Cross back through Gaoraccia Forest so you can use the same pier as before. Your destination is almost perfectly north.

Dungeon: TEMPLE OF LIGHTNING
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Lightning Bird -Silver Guard -SKILL: Summon: Lightning (Sheena)
-Gold Slime -EX Gem Lv3 -SKILL: T.Seal: Lightning (Sheena)
-Thunder Bird -Duel Helm -TITLE: Summoner (Sheena)
-Lamia -Thunder Scepter -TITLE: Paw Mania (Presea)
-Gold Skeleton -Spirit Bottle
-VOLT (E) -Shining Star
-EX Gem Lv2
-Battle Cloak
-EX Gem Lv3
-Power Greaves
-Sardonyx (E)
-Corrine's Bell (E) |
- (Stand around on the world map a while before entering to get a skit with a title for Presea.)
- Make sure you don't have Lightning Attack Attribute for anyone except Genis or Raine. Light is best for the dungeon enemies.
- In this dungeon, keep in mind that lightning always strikes the highest lightning rod.
- At the entrance, raise the lightning rods on either side so that you can safely lower the center one. Lower the one on the right so that only the one on the left is up. Step on the button that triggers the lightning, and it'll hit the one on the left, destroying the gray block.
- Use the ring changer to shoot blue lightning. With blue lightning, you can destroy blue blocks. Test it out on the blocks guarding a Silver Guard on the right.
- Continue to the next area. Go up the stairs on either side to knock the blue block from the bottom of the stack. Don't bother going in either side door, just the one blocked by a blue block in the middle.
- Once in the next area, note that you need to power the apparatus before you can use it, and you can't enter the water because it's being electrified by the lightning. Go in the door up the stairs to the left. (The blue block on the left just lets a monster get you.)
- In the door is a dark area. Depending on your TV/monitor it can be hard to progress unless you wait for the lightning. But half-elves apparently have better night vision, because it's easier to see if Genis or Raine is your display character.
- Once you're in the next well-lit area, go through the nearby downward door. Follow the path to the lightning rod. Before raising it, shoot the blue block with your ring to knock down the treasure. You will fall down to the next level. Keep repeating this process, always checking both ends of the path for a treasure (if you fall before knocking the treasure down, you can't get it).
- You'll finally get to a lighting rod on firmer ground. Exit through the door. (You're going down, so it's okay to just fall.)
- Now that the lightning rod in the water is not being struck, you can enter the water safely. Use the ring changer to get yellow lightning.
- Go to the stack of blocks in the previous room and break the yellow one. Also break the two yellow blocks in front of the nearby door, but don't bother going in right now.
- You can also go back to the entrance for a treasure.
- Go through the door on the right sid of the second room (before the water room). Go through the dark area to break the yellow block and let the lightning rod fall.
- Go to the apparatus in the water room and raise the lightning rod.
- Go through the left door in the water room, across the well-lit area, and through the door on the right side of that room. Go down through the dark area and lower that lightning rod. The apparatus will be funtional now, so go back to the previous room to examine the apparatus that isn't struck by lightning.
- You must send electricity up the middle column, labled as column C in this diagram. (Do column B first for a Battle Cloak, but don't bother with the others.) The electricity will move to the next column any time it gets to a block. It can go left/right but not down.
| Code: | A B C D E A - Lightning (Damage)
|--| |--| | B - Treasure
| |--| |--| C - Breaks bridge
|--| |--| | D - Monster
| | | |--| E - Monster
* * - Start
"--" = Blocks |
After the bridge is broken, use it as a ramp to go down and through the door.
Get the red lightning ring. You can go back and leave this area via the door on the right.
Now that you have the red lightning, you can get two treasures: one in the entrance room, and one through the left door in the second room (once there were yellow blocks in the way).
Go up to the stack of blocks in the second room and knock out the last one. Raise the lightning rod for the boss fight.
Boss: Volt- HP: 24000 / TP: 240
- Item Drop: Emerald Ring / Steal: None
- Strength: Lightning / Weakness: None
- Gald: 2800 / EXP: 3580
- Suggested Level: 32~34
- Suggested Strategy: Again, make sure none of your fighters have Lightning AA, or you'll heal heal Volt with every hit. If you want to use a lightning-elemental weapon, use something else to cancel it out. Be careful if you're using Sylva Seals or Quartz because they wear off. He's a pretty easy boss, but if you're having trouble, equip Sheena with Card of Lightning and two lightning-defense accessories so that he can't damage her and use Sylva Seals/Quartz and summoning to beat him.
Walk out of the temple. Stop by Mizuho or Ozette to rest and buy supplies. |

Dungeon: TETHE'ALLA BASE
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Evil Warrior -EX Gem Lv3
-Commander (E) -EX Gem Lv2
-Foot Soldier -Lightning Sword
-Raybit -Dragon Tooth
-BOTTA (E) -Aqua Cape
-YUAN (E) -Lavender
-Silver Mail
-Silver Circlet
-Card of Ice
-EX Gem Lv3
-Tomahawk Lance
-Beam Shield |
- Use the picture to help you locate the Renegade base.
The letters indicate which room the instructions are talking about.
- There is a vending machine in the room with Orochi. When you talk to him, he will tell you what pass codes you have and heal you.
- Change your ring to electricity.
- Leave this room and go right. Use the blue blocks in this dungeon to block the lasers. The door at the right end of the hallway has the enemy with part of the pass code, so kill him.
- Back in the hallway, go up. In the big room, go left. Go left again, and you will be in what is labeled Room B in the map above. Kill the purple guy for a pass code.
- Go up the stairs onto the platform nearby so that you can shoot the Engery Generator Whatchamacallit. Examine the thing on the floor that lit up, and the lift will rise.
- Backtrack to the entrance and go left. The rooms at the left end of the hallway have treasures; take the upward path to continue. In the next hallway, the room on the left has a treasure and the last pass code.
- Go up so that you are in the second story of Room B. (The Raybit here has an Memory Gem.) Go to the left and push/pull the block over to the gap in the platform's edge. Push the block off the edge to smash the laser thing below. Now go all the way back through to the other side of the base to get to the ground floor of this room to claim the swords.
- Go back to the northward path in the hallway to enter Room A. Start by pushing the two blocks so that they are along the north side of the stairs on the left so you can get the hidden chest with an Aqua Cape.
- Push the blocks to the gaps above and use the stairs to get on them, charge the thing.
- Push a block to the upper-right corner of the nearest lift and ride the lift upward. Push the block onto the floor of the middle level and ride back down. Use the stairs to go around to the other side of the block. Pull it over to the right and push it off when you can. Stand on it to charge the mechanism. (Don't worry if you forgot to get the treasure; the blocks reset whenever you reenter the room.)
- You can now ride the lift up to Room C. Take a block with you to push in the gap and get the treasure. Charge the mechanism on the other side of the room to ride the lift back down and push the block in the gap so you can get that pesky treasure on the pillar.
- Now it's time to go to the boss fight, so now is the time to save, buy items, or talk to Orochi for a reminder about what the pass code is. Take another block to the rightmost lift and drop it in the gap seperating the platform you need to get to to continue.
- Go up the new lift. Examine the computer to input the pass code.
- Boss: Yuan
- HP: 12000 / TP: 580
- Item Drop:None / Steal: None
- Strength: Earth / Weakness: None
- Botta
- HP: 16000 / TP: 652
- Drop: EX Gem Lv4 / Steal: None
- Strength: Lightning / Weakness:
- Gald: 5950 / EXP: 6570
- Suggested Level: 34~38
- Suggested Strategy: I recommend Sheena, Raine, and your two favorites out of Zelos/Regal/Lloyd. Don't use spell casters besides Raine because these bosses both move fast, and you need fast characters to keep up with them. Set the party to "Attack Same" and take out Botta first.
- You get free control of the Rheairds now!

-WINGED DRAGON (E)
-BABY DRAGON (E) |
- Go rest and restock somewhere.
- Boss: Winged Dragon

- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Gald: 2200 / EXP: 4950

Dungeon: TEMPLE OF EARTH
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Earth Element -Bellebane RECIPE: Curry Rice

-Clay Golem -EX Gem Lv2 TITLE: Paw Dandy (Regal)
-Dragon -Ghost Shell
-Cave Worm -EX Gem Lv3
-GNOME (E) -Bardiche
-Ancient Rod
-Ruby (E)
-Mythril Bracelet
-Mythril Guard |
- To save time later, go to Altessa's house and talk to Tabatha now. If you haven't already, give a Flanoir Potion or Mizuho Potion to the Gnomelette in the Toize Valley Mine.
- This is at the northern part of the Meltokio continent. You're automatically dropped off at the entrance, but keep note of where it is if you go somwhere else before entering.
- (Stand around on the world map for a while to get a skit with a title for Regal. But it only works if you did the above-mentioned one for Presea.)
- When ready, enter, change your ring with the machine, and use the ring near the pillers in the way. Talk to the Gnomelette. Go do the above-mentioned potion thing if you haven't yet.
- After crossing the bridge, go along the side path to be led to a Mithril Circlet. If you wait, you'll be unable to get this item.
- Back at the brigge, continue to the upper-right through the door and across the bridge to the next Gnomelette.
- Here you need Curry and the ingredients. (Buy Red Satay in Flanoir if you're out.)
- Affection:
Whoever cooks +3
- When you're done, go to the next Gnomelette. (The path upward has a treasure!)
- The wood things will break when you use the ring while standing on them. You need to go down these cliffs three times to get all the treasure. Here's a guide to the three paths.
- When you're ready to continue, talk to the Gnomelette outside the "secret passage" and go down the path ahead of him to clear out all the monsters.
- Boss: Gnome
- HP: 28000 / TP: 682
- Item Drop: Holy Symbol / Steal: None
- Strength: Earth / Weakness: None
- Gald: 4280 / EXP: 5890
- Suggested Level: 38~41
- Suggested Strategy: He's not too hard, but make sure you block a lot. His ribbon(?) attack does a lot of damage if you don't. Use at least three fighters, and beat on him. :3
- Grab treasure on your way out. Use your ring in these places:

FLANOIR (1) - Dungeon: TEMPLE OF ICE
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Penguinist (E) -Ancient Robe -SKILL: T.Seal: Ice (Sheena)
-Ice Warrior -Defenser -SKILL: Summon: Ice (Sheena)
-Feather Magic -Mythril Shield
-Ice Spider -Ice Coffin
-Lobo -Mythril Gauntlet
-Sasquatch -Mythril Armor
-FENRIR (E) -EX Gem Lv2
-CELSIUS (E) -Rosemary
-EX Gem Lv3
-Penguinist Quill (E)
-Penguinist Glove (E)
-Celsius' Tear (E)
-Sapphire (E) |
- OPTIONAL: If you want to do the Kratos's Secret Mission, do part 2 in Ozette before continuing. Also do anything you want to do in Ozette (food, dogs, etc) and the Pink Pearl Ring Sidequest.
- I would recommend going to Altamira to buy a Flame Dagger (and some other equipment if you want it, but check the list above to make sure you won't get it in the dungeon). The shops are on the second floor of the hotel.
- Fight Penguinist enemies until you get 3 Penguinist Quills and take them to the old man in the item shop in Flanoir to get Penguinist Gloves. It's easiest if you fight inside the Temple of Ice so that all battles will contain a Penguinist.
- The temple is in the southeast corner of the Flanoir continent. You have to enter from the side.
- There are three treasures in the outer area. Enter the cave and get your ice ring.
- If you got the Penguinist Gloves, take the upward path out of the cave before crossing the icy bridge.
- Outside, shoot the water dripping from the icicles to form a block. Follow the path to the Celsius' Tear flower. (Later you can go to Flanoir and get 5000 from it.)
- Go back, either by the way you came or by sliding down the fun ice slope (weeee!).
- Cross the ice bridge and there is dripping water on the far right. Shoot it to make a block.
- Push it into the gap for a hint about the upcoming puzzle:
- Make another block in the lower-right corner and use it as a bridge over the water.
- Go near where the water is gushing into the lake and examine it (don't use the ring).
- Go across the frozen lake according to the white arrows:
- You turn the pillars so that they face the same way as the ones that were in the lake (look at the picture above if you forgot).
- Boss: Celsius
- HP: 18000/ TP: 600
- Item Drop: Spirit Symbol / Steal: None
- Strength: Ice, Water / Weakness: Fire
- Fenrir
- HP: 12000 / TP: 300
- Drop: Blue Quartz / Steal: None
- Strength: Ice, Water / Weakness: Fire, Lightning
- Gald: 7180 / EXP: 7720
- Suggested Level: 39~44
- Suggested Strategy: Celsius is the only summon who is weak against her opposite element, so use that to your advantage. (Also, Fenrir is weak against daggers.) Use Sheena (Card of Fire), Zelos (Flame Dagger), and Lloyd (Garnet/Red Quartz). Use Fiery Beast U-Attack. If Zelos already knows Hell Pyre, swap Lloyd for Presea and use Arch Wind U-Attack. :3
- You'll automatically go to Ozette as you leave (assuming you've already done the Temple of Earth).

- Follow him into the house. There will be a scene, and Raine will leave your party for a short while. You're asked about Mithos....

| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Cardinal Knight (E) -Employee ID (E)
-Commander Knight (E) |
- Regal will leave at the entrance.
- Go to that monument past the inn that everyone mistakes for a grave. There will be a scene, and you'll get the ID card you need to use the elvator in the Lezareno Company building. Use the water train thing to get there.
- Go to the Sky Terrace and go to the grave (it really is a grave this time) for a scene. There will be another when you get back to 1F.
- Leave Altamira and pick Regal up.
- Go east and you'll see a little island with something Stone Henge-y on it. Land and squeeze through the rocks to enter.
- You get to fight those lame knight guys again!
- You'll end up back in Sylvarant.

Dungeon: REMOTE ISLAND HUMAN RANCH
| Code: | Monsters: Items/Treasure: Misc:
-Spearman -Vajra
-Bowman -Holy Staff
-Whip Master -Stone Charm
-Sea Horror -EX Gem Lv2
-Evil Jelly -EX Gem Lv1
-Evil Slug -EX Gem Lv3
-RODYLE (E) -EX Gem Lv4
-EX Gem Lv2
-Saffron
-Holy Cloak
-Minazuki
-Mythril Ax
-EX Gem Lv3
-Mythril Greaves
-Revive Ring |
- Note: Once you're done with this dungeon, you can't reenter, so get all the monsters and treasures now.
- Go in and use the middle path.
- The goal in the puzzle room is to light up all the tiles. Follow this image if you're stuck:
- Continue, change your ring, and use the elevator in the center of the room.
- Exit the elevator room. Three of the five corners of this room have a treasure (Holy Staff, Vajra, and Stone Charm). Hit the four switches to free the people.
- Semi-Useless Fact: The character who helps Lloyd ambush the Desians has the highest affection and the one who acts as bait has the lowest.
- Now you can ride the elevator further up.
- Use the ring to start a really annoying puzzle. You have to navagate along the path by using the ring to direct the little platform. There will be a yellow light on one side of the platform to indicate which way it's going to turn; use the ring to change it. When you get to the part pictured below, go to the one on the left like in the picture. The little electric blobs along the path will paralyze some of your characters if you go through them.
- The idea of this next puzzle is to change the color of the white warps to red, green, or blue, and you'll be taken to the nearest warp of that color. When you step on a colored warp, you'll go back to its corresponding white warp. You need to hit the three locks before you can continue. Here is a map of the area (the locks are gray squares, order you get them in doesn't matter):
- Go up to the top after it's unlocked and there is a scene and boss fight through the door.
- Boss: Rodyle
- HP: 35000/ TP: 500
- Item Drop: None / Steal: None
- Strength: Earth / Weakness: None
- Gald: 5800 / EXP: 6240
- Suggested Level: 40~43
- Suggested Strategy: I once again suggest you use your three favorite fighters plus Raine. Make sure you guard his attacks because they do a lot of damage. Try to dodge Gravity Well.
- There will be another boss fight after that:
- Boss: Baby Dragon x3
- HP: 8000 / TP: 900
- Item Drop: None / Steal: None
- Strength: None / Weakness: None
- Gald: 1500 / EXP: 3090
- Suggested Level: 40~43
- Suggested Strategy: Set the party to "Attack Same" and talk out one dragon at a time.
