Seein' it today! I love H.G Wells, and since Steven Speilberg Directed it it makes it even better........I hope. I know there was no little girl in the book and hopefully he didn't change to much stuff.

I liked the old movie better, there was more KA BANG and WACHOO...But I think they did the casting wrong in the new version, they should've put someone like...Tom Hanks Very Happy

I saw it. Funny thing, when we came out of the theater, there was a huge thunder storm... kinda freaky.

Anyhow, I thought it was a great movie. The design and special effects are amazingly seamless and the action is huge. I never did understand how these tripods would walk, but it makes sense now that I've seen the movie. It looks spectacular, especially the red stuff near the end. War of the Worlds is intense, a real thrill and some scenes are really grim. I really enjoyed it, but the ending was disappointing. More time could've been put to flesh out the end, but it does fit the tone of the movie. At least it wasn't some crazy, over-the-top Independence Day blow-out.

Okay I saw it now, it wasn't like the book like the alien ships didn't come from space they already had the tripods on earth, and then the aliens just came down to pilot them which doesn't make much sense since they would have to some to earth before to plant the tripods...and it was form the perspective of some american dude instead, which I didn't mind beacuse it allowed the story to change form the book a little. Alll in all I loved the movie but it didn't make that much sense compared to H.G. Wells version.

I thought it was phenomonal; one of the best movies I've ever seen. Really intense and A MUST SEE in the movie theater unless you have some crazy good home theater system.
