What are you implying by bad?Do you mean endings that are sad like everybody dies,or are you implying the endings are crap?Well, they are only crap if they don't suit the anime.

Well, the only ending I've seen is the one for the Digimon series:

First season: Pretty good, although saddening.
Second season: ...It pretty much stunk. Some really weird future jobs for the character (Matt=Astronaut? Tai=Businessman? WITH SHORT HAIR?! T_T)
Third Season: OK, but kind of weird.

Unless movies count, as well. In that case...well, I'm thinking of Miyazaki's movies, but most of them are pretty good. Although sometimes you get this annoying feeling like you've only been told the beginning of a story.

Air has the saddest ending ever. Not only is it sad, but confusing...

Yeah, that's kind of true.

A lot of people decided to insult Spiral ~Melody of Logic~ and FMA just because they apparently have horrible endings. *Shrug* I appreciate the content of the animé as a whole, if it's not resolved at the end...Oh well!

I think that game designers and anime producers purposefully make the endings of games and animes sad/slightly incomplete/etc. That way, the public just doesn't want to accept the ending, because it isn't what they wanted to see and will snatch the sequel off the shelf, hoping to see a better ending.

well i like endings that are sad

i dont like those endings where everything is happy in the end...
Thats why i changed my opinion about my favourite anime once i finished watching it... it was getting really good(especially on the last episode) and sad but then at like the last 3 minutes of the series it goes from dark to all happy

The anime im talking about is brigadoon but thats not the only disapointing ending i saw...

My favourite ending so far is monster rancher... even though it was a kids show they made the ending so so sad... Actually the ending of that is kind of violent but not in a gory way...

Edit:Almost all the anime i see have sad endings

now that MasterT said that Air has a very sad ending im very eager to watch it =P

Well, FMA has a mediocre ending...but what people fail to remember is that the movie coming out is basicly episode 52 (in other words, it continues from the end). So it really isn't an absolute ending to the whole story, just the TV series.

I like endings that fit the best, most people prefer sad ending, but it doesn't matter to me. Samurai Champloo had a happy ending, and I thought it was good. Initial D ends each season with a slightly happen, yet open endings (which is why there are so many seasons.)

Yesh, NGE had a crappy ending (note that I haven't seen End of Evangelion) RANMA left me with nothing! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! A lot of anime doesn't even finish with a kiss... Isn't that disappointing. Plus Escaflowne ended with that "As long as we remember each other, we'll ALWAYS be together" ending. Those are just..... cheesy?

It doesn't bother me that much anymore, since I've seen my number of "bad" endings, and by bad I mean sad or something close to that.

Jin-Roh had a sad ending
X the Movie had a sad ending
Cowboy Bebop had a depressing ending
Evangelion had a conterversesual ending *both in the series and movie*
Big O had a confusing ending
Kikaider had a sad ending *not counting the crappy OVA*
Chrno Crusade has a sad ending
DBZ had a lame ending

So as you can see I'm used to it by now, and possibly only Last Exile from the current animes I've seen has had a somewhat "happy" ending.

Evangelion, while being open-ended, is one of the best endings I've seen in a while. I haven't seen the movies, though... it's on my to-do list...

The end of Chrno Crusade has got to be the single biggest COP OUT I've ever experienced in anime. I can't type in this forum the things I shouted out when I saw that.

Mai HiME had an awesome ending, in the end it was what the end of Chrno Crusade SHOULD have been like.

BGC 2040 had a good ending, if a little confusing.

Video Girl AI, which was a romance series, deemed it necessary to go all End of Eva once the end came.

The end of Noir is noteworthy, as well.
