| It has to be varied as each combat system can have many variations, turnbased can be simple, or it can have add-ons (like spirit in skies of arcadia) or it can have a button-pushing twist added like super mario rpg and legend of the dragon, as for real time games, it depends on the controls and the combo system... |

i thought we were discussing strategy games like Warcraft (Rise of Nations) and Shining force (Final Fantasy Tactics).
real-time and turn based respectively. |

It's really hard to compare Warcraft with Shining Force. The scope and focus of each series is completely different. Resource gathering versus full-on combat. _________________

like the battles in Lords of the Realm II vs. the battles in Shining Force. |
