Anime Conventions!

Last month I went to Metrocon in Tampa and met The VA's for Vash from Trigun and Edward Elric from FMA!

I'm going to Otakon, i'm cosplaying as edward and I am [a] very tall [landmark] so if anyone wants to join us that would be cool.
Although I can't afford a real edward costume online (waaay to expensive) I am going as edward in his black tank-top and I am going to draw his scar that he as on his original arm cuz how am I going to get a robotic arm??? And I also ordered the silver watch on ebay ^^! This is also my first anime convention!

Well, there isn't an exact date as of yet... But there will be a convention in Edmonton AB in February. I know that it will be on a Saturday but not which Saturday. Me and my classmates still need to figure that out.

Yesterday we had a con here in Salt Lake City, Utah, amazingly enough. They held it at the student center of the Salt Lake Community College, and I think it was called anime banzai or something along those lines.

Anyway, it was tons of fun. I bought a deck of One Piece playing cards, a One Piece wall scroll, and the OST for Bleach (I wanted a Naruto headband, but those sold out waaay before I got there...). I think over the whole day, there couldn't have been more than 500 people, and about 50% of the people there were cosplaying. The Kakashi and Naruto I saw, along with a Yoruichi (from Bleach) were freaking awesome.

They also had a drawing contest along the lines of Iron chef. They give you a topic to draw about and give you 45 minutes to draw it. The first on I did was magical girls, but I didn't even place. ;_; However, the next topic, which was mecha, I actually, despite all odds, got first place (I drew a giant cat mecha similar to Kuroneko rampaging through a city). I won 2 different drawing books, along with the Art of Tekken, a collectible picture from Resident Evil 4, and a random volume of manga.

All in all.... it was great...

I'm so dressing up next year. >D

Heh heh, Luck me, The Otakon is 10 miutes away from where I live! YAY! I can't wait to go this July! YAY!! Anaheim Convention Center!!

(I was sick last time, that's why I wasn't able to go...and my favorite voice actors were there...crap.)

Eh? Are any of you planning to go AX 2006? I'm praying I can go for a day so we can save money for a plane ride to visit my cousin...

Hopefully, if I come, I'm going as Kyoko Honda from Fruits Basket. I have the jacket, now I just need to dye my hair orange and cut it shorter, and get a red skirt Very Happy

If I go, this would be my third convention in a row. AX is too much fun.
