| You can get Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia(Destiny II in America on PSOne) at half.com and you can get Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2) and ToP (GBA or PSOne) at Play-Asia. You need a modchip/import player for Tales of Destiny 2 for PS2 because it is Japanese only. ToP for PSOne needs an import player, too, but the GBA ToP does not. |

| Tales of Destiny 2 and Tales of Phantasia are in Japanese, no matter where you buy them from. Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia were released in America, so they are in English. |

Read that thread. It lists every released and announced Tales game to date, which platform they are available on, and what regions they were released in. Only three Tales games have had an English release, so you will have to import all of the others, and have a system capable of running imports. |

Would the Japanese Tales games work with a flip-top? Or would I have to either get a mod chip or Japanese PS2? _________________

ToD2j and ToR work fine with a flip top and Swap Magic for me. I'd guess ToS-PS2 is fine too. _________________

You can buy a new top to your PS2 that it flips open where the CD is. It is easier to use than a slide card. I'm too lazy to buy one, though. Plus, slide cards suit me just fine =). |

You replace the top half of your PS2 case with a third-party one that has a lid that opens like the Dreamcast and PS1. It allows you to swap an import or burned disc in without hitting the Eject button, so the system won't clear the boot code from memory and detect that the disc is pirated or from out of region. It needs a disc like SwapMagic, that stops spinning after booting, to work so that you can safely swap the disc. |
