| In Tales of Eternia ((The anime)) ...When somone summons a spitirit...They always say,.. " Wa tu in!!!!" And then the summon will reply by saying some celtic thingy back like." Oh mighty heavnly winds. Gatherest befor me to become the dragon!!!!" So far they only do that in Tales of Eternia...But I never played or seen Phantasia. |

It requires knowlege of Melnics to summon and control the Craymels and Greater Craymels. ^^; In the game, Meredy was surprised when someone called forth a river spirit in Melnics. It was then mentioned that it was Melnics, but they (Inferian summoners) didn't really understood what it meant.
As for the other games, Klarth makes an incantation in his native tongue (Japanese in this case) before summoning in Phantasia. Destiny had items to summon Spirits, so nothing is really needed. XD |

Basically, you hear it spoken in the anime, but not in-game. Though, in the sound test, they had incantations to say (ala Klarth/Sheena/ToE Anime) for each summon. Not sure why they didn't use them (they were translated in the US version, despite not being used o_O), but then the gap between Meredy/Keele doing a pose to startup the summon and the actual summon taking place isn't big at all XD _________________

Maybe, but I wonder why they went ahead and translated them...
Hell, even Balir and Shizel had summon chants in the soundtest XD
It's like Symphonia and Raine's Sacred Light. The spell was never included normally in the game without the aid of the Action Replay to activate it, Raine has a chant and spell name for it. Odd eh? _________________

Maybe they were just bored and decided to do it anyway <.<;. Maybe in Eternia they just forgot to put them in >.>;. |

Sometimes they translate dummied out stuff without thinking about it because when you're digging through game code, normal stuff and dummied stuff is all next to each other.
They don't include it in battle voice, but they do use "waitun im" in the game in at least one case. When Paollo is using the Craymels on the river, he says, "Waitun im! Waitun im! Waitun im! Waitun im! Waitun im! Waitun im!" It literally means "come on."
U etu e Melnics swaailedi. :D _________________

Yep. You can unlock it with a cheat device, but it just does a bunch of pretty lighting effects instead of actually appearing as it ought to appear. Plus, they don't have Raine's anime frieze in there either. _________________

Well, no, the spell visuals are the same as the hi-ougi in the PS2 version, its just that nothing happens XD
Quick tip for anyone with an Action Replay (or not if you use a spell listed on the paragraph after this). Try casting Sacred Shine in a battle field that doesn't have 3D Elements (Tower of Salvation's stairs...), world map battle fields work fine.
Now then, cast Sacred Shine on a enemy faar away from you (like, other side of the battle field), the game will tune up it's lighting effects and make the spell dizzy-inducing bright XD
The game does that with Spread and Tidal Wave too, but Sacred Shine goes muuuch more brighter @__@ _________________
