| Quote: | | That said, it might be alot easier for people like me to draw their character(s) instead of describing them with words. Is that a possible option though? | Literary roleplaying is literary—make an effort to write the descriptions out in full. If you have more difficulty with it, you need the practice, anyway. Use a(n online) translation dictionary and thesaurus if you have to (but don't use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice—at least, do your best to).
It doesn't matter that you aren't a native speaker as long as you try and make an effort to write well and have a basic grasp of the language. (And you probably would want to let people know, so that nobody assumes it's your first language...)
By the way, in English, we don't use double-angle quotation marks (« and »), instead, we use double quotation marks (").
Also, "build", when referring to a person's body, is how they are physically: are they overweight, thin and slender, muscled? As for "quirks", they're odd traits of action or personality: maybe a nervous habit, a certain way of thinking or speaking, and so on. _________________

And yes, if they're moderately fluent in the language.
But seriously, I used it in that form because I've always known that as a quotation of some type (no clue from whom; maybe just a writer's proverb?). _________________

I have a French keyboard, it doesn't have the quotation marks (unless I use the other PC that has an English keyboard)
well thanks for the informations. I hope I wont meet someone who types three paragraphs in order to slash someone. _________________

Je crois que c'est Shift et le point; si c'est l'apostrophe, essaye Shift et la virgule.
Euh, peut-être c'est appelé autrement en français. En tout cas, Shift est la clé qu'on tient pour taper une lettre majuscule. _________________

Instead of making a new thread. I figured, why not announce it here? So, to let everyone one know, I will be making yet another Role Play. Although something tells me that I should wait while, because my effort might go to waste. _________________

Oh, what's it about?
As for waiting, I can imagine activity dying a bit in September...
Okay, I always thought about it, mentioned it a few times but... I'll definitely try to get back in RP - the hard thing is trying to sign up for something that isn't 20+ pages yet. I usually like signing up before the ball gets rolling.
Created my first character, and I'll probably do a few more to fit better into various settings, or at least make a rough layout so I can change them around a bit.
When I was 14-16 I used to participate in a lot of Sailor Moon-type RPs, they were really fun. ^^ Creating your own transformation, attacks, etc. Hopefully my writing isn't too rusty, hopefully it'll improve once I get back into it. _________________

SilverWind, i have no idea if you are still active here, but you do make great points that i agree with, and am thankful for that you decided to take the time to write them all out, as it has been many moons since i was last in a role play that i had a few slip into the deeper regions of my mind. You know. The other 97% we don't use that thoughts float idly about in until they come back to the three percent that can remember them for you!!
So to close it out, you get one big cliche'd thumbs up! _________________

I promise to always run my posts through a spell-check, to never cheaply control other peoples' characters, and always, always write at least a paragraph's worth before I hit 'Submit.' _________________

Anyone interested in joining or creating a RPG similar to Persona 3/4?
For some reason I really want one. Especially with P4 coming up.
I'll probably think of something over the weekend. ^^ (Though I wouldn't mind creating one with someone.) Or if someone goes ahead and creates one, I'd love it. _________________

I really would join you if I knew something about P3 or P4 but I don't. _________________

I was in one on another forum recently, though it seems to have died out. I'd be happy to help create or at the very least join one, and I could even supply the high school map I made for the other one.
If it helps, the one I was in had a really interesting bio system, where the player would create a character like normal, only they would also answer a sort of personality questionnaire and PM it to the creator who would use it to pick their persona (the only element of creation the player couldn't control). _________________
