Anyone know where i can find an English or japanese version of Tales of Phantasia? I saw japanese screenshots of it and i was wondering where i can purchase it. I already checked EBay, but i couldn't find anything. Thanks

There's no legal English version of Tales of Phantasia. Thus, you'll have to get the Japanese version. E-Bay is probably your best bet, so you should probably just check back at another time.

Forget the SNES version, if you're thinking of playing it in Japanese. The PSX remake is A LOT better. Probably the best version there is. PlayAsia has some for 30 bucks.
Make sure your PS2/PSOne can play imports though.

Note the word legal. I have not seen any English PSX one at all.

Among the three versions, only the SNES version has an unofficial translation made by DeJap, but this version is the worst. PSX version is very good, and GBA version has elements from both previous versions. Check here for more info.

Actually you can GET it on a SNES emulator, but...you'd probaly have to buy tales of phantasia in japanese for it to be legal...
the rules of emulators are for you to keep if you lost a replacement of your game or cant read or play it. |

It's only legal if you own the Japanese cart and make the ROM yourself. If someone else makes the backup for you from a different cart, it's not technically legal. |
