so i got innocence r today
how closely does the game match up with the translated ds script? is it worth doing that and just ignoring kongway and qq(i hate this...creature anyway) or will I just get confused _________________

From what I heard, QQ and Kongwei are both really insignificant to the existing plot. _________________ Gaming in 2013:

i mean more the script. like it would be dumb to play destiny r reading off tod psx's script.
also the game is more enjoyable than i was expecting.
the battle system feels like a real tales one as opposed to the "cheap" feeling in the RM titles and such, and the graphics while still no marvel are actually surprisingly pleasing to the eye through the vita's incredibly vivid colors.
also the music in innocence is p legit. _________________

That's what I meant. I heard that QQ/Kongwei's interjections are just commentary added on top of the existing script and nothing really extremely relevant to the plot (well, until the end with triverse stuff that focuses on them) _________________ Gaming in 2013:

There are probably new cutscenes and stuff, since they added extra content to the main story. The DS script obviously won't cover those. _________________

yeah i was wrong about this game. screenshots really don't do the game's graphics justice. I mean they're still arguably not very good and don't live up to the vita's power, but like Persona 4, the color and vividness of the vita really bring the game to life. there's just a depth to the colors that vita gives that really brings me into the games i play on it.
also the music is great. I think it might only be second to legendia in that regard.
Battle system basically seems to be a significantly faster version of Vesperia with a much more accessible aerial techniques. the downside is (so far) there seems to be less abilities to mess around with.
anyways im pretty cool with this game so far even though I'm fairly early in. _________________

Does it look better than the Hearts R demo? (I haven't played either.) _________________ Icon via iconography. |

Kongwei and QQ don't add much at all to the plot. Most of it is at the very end. |

Well, in terms of actual graphical quality in the models and detail in the backgrounds and such, Hearts R is better. But Hearts felt kind of stiff to me. The running animations like many people have mentioned and even the battles now and then just don't feel so smooth. Innocence R feels smooth as butter both in and outside battle. Like I mentioned earlier, it really only feels "cheap" if you try and compare the graphics to what the Vita is capable of...this is answering a bit more than what you asked and going off on a tangent, but I just want to make it clear that the game doesn't feel as though you're playing Radiant Mythology or a spinoff or something. _________________

Equip Destroy, reduces steel body by 2 per hit. Ruca gets it fairly early.
I was thinking of doing a review once I'm done with the game to make away with the bad reputation it has here. _________________
