Posting Pics, making bold/italics/underlining, etc.

This is for some people who might not know how to do BBcode, the code that's used for posting pics and making fonts. I reckon this is already in the FAQ page of the forums, but a lot of people tend to "skip over that," so I'm making something that's easier to see.

I'll start with posting pictures:

The code for posting a pic is: [img]URL HERE[/img]. Now, to what a URL is. It stands for Uniform Resource Locator, if you're curious. It's basically a site's website name. Example: http://tales.namco.com/. I'll use the banner for the forums as a image example. First I right-click on the pic and click properties, and then I copy/paste the URL in the dialog in between the [img][/img] tags. Therefore, the result is this:







Now to linking sites on the forums:

This is very similar, just put [url]URL HERE[/url] and type the website name in between the tags.

Result: http://tales.namco.com/forums/

Next is bold, italics, and underlining text:

Bold

Italics

Underlined

In short, you simply fill the tag with "b," "i," or "u": [LETTER]TEXT[/LETTER]

Now for different sizes and colored fonts:

To change colors, the code is [color=COLOR HERE]TEXT HERE[/color]

Result (red being the example): I TYPED IN RED!

To change sizes, the code is [size=SIZE NUMBER HERE]TEXT HERE[/size]

Now, of course, there are different size numbers you have to type inside the tags to make it work:

Tiny <7>

Small <9>

Normal <12>

Large <18>]

Huge <24>

XD Well, I just highlight the sentence or whatever and then click the button and it puts the tags at the beginning and end of what I highlighted. ^^0

Y'all made some good points, thanks for the help. I also apologize that I made this in the wrong place... I guess I figured that we weren't supposed to post announcements... only the mods and admins were. Oh well

If you want for valid BBCode to be displayed in your post, use CODE tags. You will get the following result:
