I myself was conflicted between Lloyd, just because he's that good, or Zelos, just because I flat out love his personality. I ended up picking Lloyd though.

When it comes to gameplay, it's Lloyd hands down. I love being able to attack so quickly and variously. When it comes to the characters themselves, though, it's so difficult to choose.
The thing I absolutely love about Tales is that even though some of the characters' stories are a bit cliche, they all have very deep stories and unique personalities as a result of them. You could make a game about each and every single character in Tales.
I'd have to choose Sheena though. She's my waifu. :3 |

| Kratos used to be my standout favourite, but I love everyone so much, even Regal who I used to hate for being so irrelevant. He has really grown on me so it was not easy to choose, but I went with Kratos. |
