Crazy and Confused

Now I'm even more confused than before.  Would anyone like to give me a recomended order of play, with which version of which game I should play to get the best experience? I want to play at least one version of each game, and it doesn't matter if it's in Japanese, because I'll still be able to read it. I might have to get a new game system, but that's something else entirely.
Obviously I've play ToS, and loved it, but that was my first Tales game. Cyllya said that it happens 4000+ years before all the previous Tales games, so I shouldn't have missed anything yet.
Thanks in advace for anyone who helps me. I hope I can soon play another awesome Tales RPG.

Well, ToS happens 4000 years before Phantasia. Then after Phantasia there is the direct sequel Narakiri Dungeon 1 for GBC. All the other games are in their own universe.
Tales of Destiny and Tales of Desting 2 (The REAL Japanese one) are directly connected, with the main character in ToD2 being the son of Stahn for ToD.
Tales of Eternia is only connected to ToE Online, but I doubt that really matters.
Tales of Rebirth is all by itself, and then there are the Narakiri Dungeon games to wrap them all together.

Hmmm...Looks cheap. What the-what kind of "World" is that? I like how in the REAL game where it takes a long time to get somewhere. Very Realistic. Not some, jump over to a town quickly thing. You can't even see their bodies except in battle. I'll get the game-but won't like it; I'll just play for the 'new' story...  Those meanies! Making a good game look stupid. Haters.

Well...I think many people know that GB ROMs are much smaller than other ROMs. But come on! Why do you have to spread this kind of information on a OFFICIAL Tales site???

Indeed. Sometimes I wonder if you all lack common sense or not...*shrug*
Anywho, Dologony, you expect waaaaaay too much from the games. Obviously they won't be as full length action packed and such as the console versions, but they have some damn good gameplay elements that make them addictive and very worthwhile FOR A PORTABLE. Be happy that we got a nice refined battle system in ND2 and 3, and that we have real nice sprites drawn for them (for ToS/P/D/).

i new to this but um i was wondering where i can get these tales titles cuz i recently competed ToD(stahn) and ToD2(Reid) and now i want to get the actual sequel to the first ToD and i was reading the list of all tales games is ther really no english version?? i aint good at reading all those languages

No, they just put "Japanese Only" by the name so people wouldn't buy it  . |

You doubt the information from one of the site administrators (and one that can understand Japanese to boot)?! That is the comprehensive list, minus a few recent details that need to be updated/added. |
