[Hero of courage]

As Max wa sunconscious, he had a dream, he dreamt about his homeland, Lymania. He could still see his loved ones, his friends, familly, Celest... He then saw the familiar form of Kornan, walk away with something shining in his hands as darkness engulfed Max. He was suffering and as he was tring to shake off the evil spell, he tried to reach for his companion's hands, but they semmed so far away... It was like trying to reach something that was only a few inches too far away. The wind screamed creating a great hurricane, ice shards were falling, hitting anything in its path with the power of crushing meteors, the land was in flames and the water tides were out of control. The earth was crumbling, creating fissures at an allarming rate. Max couldn't bear it anymore and rose with such strenght that he shook of the dark bonds that kept him immobile. At that instant, he found himself awake in a bed, trying to catch his breath, cold sweat drippling on his bare torso. He looked down and found that it was wrapped in some sort of bandage.

Max had had that kind of dream before, it was a premonition. Why did he know this? Because his sword, which was connected to his life-force glowed more than usual. He knew that his world would be in great danger soon... but why? Max rose from the bed, trying to ignore the pain of his injury. Truth be told, he's been through much larger cuts, and being an angel, he recovers pretty fast. But his power having weakened, any slices felt at least ten times more powerful. The poison in Kornan's sword wouldn't help much as well. Max's sword was a light and water (Which could include ice) elemental weapon and could cause quite a bit of damge, but Kornan's sword is a Great Sword and he can wield it with one hand.

Anyhow, Max wondered how he got here so he rushed outside. There, he he met up with a young girl. As he came to meet her, she told him that she found him injured on the road to Sindro while she travelled in her caravan. It was a nice farmer girl who lived miserably in a poor farm. Max explained why he was here and the young lady seemed to think that he was crazy. Nevertheless, Max reached in his left pocket, placed a gem in the palm of her hands and closed it gently ¨Take this as thanks for helping me. This gems comes from my world and it has the effect of some sort of lucky charm. Keep it as it will bring you good fortune.¨ Max turned to leaved but the young girl turned to ask him his name. Max stopped and turned to face her. ¨ My name is Max Angelwings¨ Max said ¨What sould I call you?¨. The young girl, looked at Max's wings in great puzzlement. In some ways, soft and kind, but in other ways, he looked hard and cold. She didn't know how she should answer so Max interupted he thoughts ¨Come now, do not be afraid by my odd appearance, I will not hurt you. Tell me your name will you?¨. As those words reached the yougn girl, she answered ¨So.. Sofia...¨. Max turned to leave and said ¨Very well, I will remember it¨. As he left for the nearest shop to find a map, the gem in Sofia? hand glittered with such wonder, that she dropped it on the floor. As it landed, he soil thought to be infertile began grow several crops at great speed and quantity. One thing was for sure, Then she noticed something, the stone he gave to her... She would never live in misery ever again, never...

Ayden sensed the man's strength. He stood examining the man quizically. He thought to himself,"Who is he? Could he possibly help me with my mission? He seems to have a strong spirit though. I think I'll wait until Iknow I can trust him.

"You okay, sir?" the man asked.
"Um...yes, yes I seem to be fine. Thank you. I heard a strange noise and I just decided to investagate. Uhh...may I ask what you are doing sir?

I was eating breakfast at the Sindro inn, when I got back I noticed that the man I rescued was not in his bed. "Where could he be?" I asked myself. I quickly ran outside and found him still in pain from his wounds.
"Where are you going?" Shiroh(me) asked. "I wanted to speak to you about that dead man I saw in the forest" he remained silent and I await his answer.

Solstice, placing his twin swords back in their sheaths, took a short glance to see if there were any more dangers.

"I'm Solstice Firasfrost, swordsman by trade. Having a look around town before everyone gets up. If you haven't heard the rumors, Sindro's under a pretty bad drought and the last harvest was a total failure. I traveled here to do a little looking around, but I'm pretty sure that it has to do with Aurelian's next move. See those footprints over there?" Solstice explained, pointing to some heavy treads in the dirt path. "Imperial army boots. Something here is definitely not right."

~Simrock City (Wind's Breath)~

As Arene slipped around the chattering trio at table five, she could feel eyes on her. The elven man she had bumped into earlier was watching her. She gritted her teeth and managed politely to table eight, "Here're the napkins, ma'am. Can I help you with anything else?" As the lady began to ramble about the poor quality of the service, Liana stopped by, balancing a tray.

"Everything all right?" she bubbled. Arene sighed. Liana loved being a waitress. She'd flirt with the men, gossip with the women, and coo at the babies--even at others' tables. That got everyone big tips and kept the Wind's Breath afloat. This situation was no different, and Liana bent over and poked teasingly at the child, who was stuffing a blue crayon in his mouth. "Aren't you a cutie? Yes you aaare!" The infant gurgled in response.

"Oh, he likes you!" The lady seemed to brighten up. Arene stole a glance at the man in the corner, who was still watching her. What's his problem? she wondered. When she turned her head back, she heard a loud, sickening SPLAT!

Half the restaurant turned and looked. The baby's half-eaten dinner was sitting on Liana's dress. "EEK!" Liana shrieked. "This is a new outfit, too!" She thrust her tray into Arene's arms and scurried to the bathroom. The lady scooped up her child and followed suit. The restaurant erupted into laughter and confusion as several immature guests began to hoot at them.

Arene looked down at the tray in her arms and read the order. Booth 6. She took a deep breath, then looked around. Her parents were out back, Mandi was busy with the drinks, and everyone was in an uproar. No one was paying attention to her...

Now's my chance! She turned on her heel and inconspicuously made her way to the back corner. The elven man had a slightly surprised look on his face. Bravely, Arene stepped up and placed the dishes in front of him, and hoped that she wasn't visibly trembling. "Hi, welcome to Wind's Breath. I'm sorry but your waitress--Liana--is, uh, on a quick break at the moment, so I'm going to serve you in her place. Here's what you ordered. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

~Simrock City (The Wind's Breath)~

As Endymion's gaze grew more intent on the girl, he realized that she must have sensed his stare, for she seemed to be struggling not to look at him. He wondered at her coy nature and yearned to ask her why she so expertly evaded him. Suddenly, there was a burst of laughter throughout the room, and customers chaotically swirled around the elven-eared girl. At that moment, her eyes met his, and with determination, she walked toward Endymion.

She quickly explained what had happened to Liana and asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Endymion sensed by the intonation of her voice that she was not talking about the food.

He took a chance and said, "Madame, I am Endymion, a sage of the goddess Martel. I knew the instant I saw you that something plagued your mind. I ask only for your name and, if you are willing, an explanation of your avoidance of me. I seek to help all those in need of assistance, and I shall aid you if you so desire."

She cast her eyes toward the ground and then shifted her gaze to all corners of the room as if searching for someone. At last, she took a deep breath and began to speak.

As Max travelled on the road to Simrock, he thought of his wounds. ¨What could Kornan want to trigger to forget to make sure that I'm dead? Why would he lure me in with him?¨ Thought Max. He wondered what was his real intentions, why did he let Max follow him so easily and why he was spared. Even though Kornan hates him with all of his might, he didn't make sure that he was dead, no overkill like usual. He had him where he wanted and he let his change fly away like Max when he decideds to deploy his wings. Speaking of which, he decided not to use his wings right now, at least until he recovers. As he walked, he heard laughters. Not the typical kind and warm laughter we hear everyday, a cold, foul laughter that could put the scare for even the bravest of warrior.

Not liking what he heard, he unseathed his sword and slowly tiptoed, trying to find the source of the ruclus. Max closed his eyes, only following his hears. He then oponened them and found him self behind a tree. He peeked on the side and saw a campfire There he saw demon troopers. Weaker demons were called demon troopers because they existed in a large quantity, in fact there were ten for every beings in Lymania. Alone they didn't pose much of a threat, but in numbers, they could cause great damage. He saw three, no more, so he advanced slowly behind one of the and slashed him. As he fell on the floor and disapeared in frightfull flames, the two other heavily armored troopers (To make up for them being weaker than normal demons) make some sort of hissing sound that really hurt Max's ears. as they did so, demon troopers jumped on the ground all around him, he was surrounded. Now Max gathered his shield and sword and prepared for a battle which will show how much weaker time has rendered him...

As demons leaped to attack Max, he spined gracefully, swigning his longsword, Braveblade with an amazing combo of speed and power. He swung his sword fiercly, he hit a few demons with his sword, but as one jumped behind him, he lifted his right arm to hit the incoming demon with his shield. Now knowing that he had no choice, he delpoyed his wings and jumped from side to side, dodging incoming attacks. He doged swords and axes swinged at him, trying to find and opportunity to strike back, but they were hard to come by. Max thanked heavens that he had his shield to protect him. The crowd was getting denser every minutes and Max received a hard kick on the back of the head. As he fell down, the troopers all jumped on him, Max trying to push them back to no avail. This was the time to use magic. Max screamed ¨Heavenly light!!!¨ As his most powerful summoning spell sent a large beam of light descended right to where Max and his assailants were, the enemies were sent crashing on carious objects, breaking trees and rocks. If nothing stopped them, they landed pretty far away and they rolled endlessly until they actualy hit something. Max was lucky because this has been a direct hit. But then he wondered why his most powerful spell had not killed his enemies. This is when he realized that his powers were not only minimaly dimished they were more than halved. ¨A stronger warrior would withstand such attacks¨ Thought Max as he got up. As soon as he did, a demon leaped from behind him and Max screamed ¨Now get a taste of this! Leaping Angel!¨. Max threw his sword high in the air and did a backflip only to land standing on the demon's shoulders. He immediately began to pummel his head with quick punches and quickly grabbed a hold of his sword when it came upon reach. He then stabbed the demon directly in the head and he leaped away from the vanishing body. Then at Max's urprise, he was caught by five demons who held him in a bad position. He decided to use Heavenly Light again, but they were not stupid, they rose their magical shield to create a barrier and block the attack. Max was thrown on a tree and slashedon the chest. Max xried in pain but nevertheless, deployed his wings to fly out of range. There he used Revive. His body glowed with a blue shooting light as his wounds healed. He still felt a bit of pain, but that was useful. Then a sound soared past his ear, an arrow nearlly hit him! Max did a U-turn and found out that the demons had changed theire swords for arrows. Max reltaliated with quick Light beams, but the troopers were quick to dodge. Max soon found himself out of magic. Max few close to ground level and decided to use his Angel Rush technique. He flew at great speed and swing his sword fiercly in the fray. a few of them went down, but one demon was smart enought to jump on Max's back. At this point, an arrow was shot around his spine. Luckily enough, the spped of the flight made it unstable for the demon and it altered his aiming capacity, not touching any vital part of his body. Max feel on the ground as both the demon and he rolled brutaly on the ground, crashing on a large rock. At this point, both he and the demon had no more fight left in them. Another surving demon came by with a sword in hand and looked at the injured Max menacingly. As he was about to stab him, a great serpent-dragon-shaped fire beam hit the demon away from Max. The spell came from him, but he never knew that spell. His best friend Jason Dragonfang was a fire elemental warrior and used this spell rather ofren. As Max began to extinguish the fire he had caused with a few Water Blasts at low power, Max wondered if Jason helped him somehow... This night, "Max would spent it outside eliminating the already suffering demons. He couldn't let then attack him or any other unlucky travellers. Perhaps there were more hiding in the forest, but he wasn't on hunting duty.

Demson City

Seth woke up to the birds chanting in the trees next to his window. He grabbed his sword and went hunting, but as he was leavng he noticed a letter by his doorstep. After he read it he knew that his old pal Solstice needed his help in Simrock. He left Demson heading far to the East.

Sindro City

"Finally here..." He said as the rain poored down on him, he quickly found his way to the INN. He sat down in the front hall, waiting for Solstice's arrival.

Continuing his investigation, Sosltice took a vial from his pocket and dipped it into a nearby stream. Solstice looked up and saw that the town was coming to life. The farmers had gotten out their tools and got to work on their fields.

"Time to head back to the inn then," Solstice said. He turned to the person he had just met. "Would you like to join me, sir?"

"My name is Arene Ifa. All my life I've known that I'm part elf"--she motioned to her ears nervously--"but no one's bothered to tell me any details. My parents are probably the only ones who know all about it, but they won't say a word. It's always, 'There isn't anything to know', 'Your mother put it behind her a long time ago', or 'Don't worry, Arene, being part elven doesn't make you a weirdo'. They've always left me wondering. To make matters worse, they won't even let me talk to elves, because they know...they know I'd ask them lots of questions."

The man nodded his head patiently. Arene continued, "This is my only chance, and I hope I haven't blown it already. But, I really want to know--do you know where the elves live? Are you from there, in fact? And...do elves really use magic? I can sort of use magic, not much though. And...oh, I have so many questions. Do you know about my grandfather? Let's see, what was his name, umm, err--"

Swoosh. Arene had lived at Wind's Breath all her life and knew that was the sound of the restroom door opening. The majority of the customers had returned to normal, and Mandi was finishing up with the drinks. She bent down to Endymion, as if to give him napkins, and quickly hissed, "Please, if you want to help me, meet me behind the inn tonight at midnight. I'd really like to talk to you. If you don't show up...I'll understand." She stood up straight and nodded graciously, then walked away.

Endymion sat silently as Arene disappeared into a crowd of customers so as not to draw attention to her forbidden actions. Now realizing that her dilemma was much greater than he had anticipated, he pitied her life of hushed voices and secrets. Her woes had only been magnified by her parents’ stubborn refusal to humor her thirst for the truth, and he saw that she desperately wished for release from the fetters of silence.

Endymion finished his meal and thanked Liana as he left, stepping out into the moonlit street. However, his footsteps did not lead him to the door of Simrock Inn. Instead, he moved stealthily into the shadow-filled alley beside the structure and followed it until he reached the rear of the building. He sat there in the dark awaiting the arrival of Arene.

As he waited, he couldn't help but smile inwardly. Just hours ago, he had believed his quest to be useless, but now, he was beginning to find meaning in it through his desire to aid Arene. Endymion closed his eyes and dosed dreamlessly until he felt a hand gently shake his shoulder. His eyelids fluttered open, and his gaze met with Arene's.

Max entered Simrock City and entered Wind's Breath, a place which he didn't like much beacause he hated to be engulfed in a large crowd. But now he was desperate for a guide and he needed to find something. There, he was asked for a drink and asked for water. He didn't like alcohol at all and in some ways, din't understand why such drink was so popular. As Max walked, he accidently bumped into a raven haired man. Max helped him up, a bit embarassed about the situation and apologized for the trouble. He sat down with him and began to chat. The Man's name was Endymion and he seemed to know a lot more about this world than he did. After some time, the man agreed to guide him, but he had to take care of important matters first. Max nodded and left outside. There, he climbed in a nearby tree and leaned on a branch. There, he took off his left glove and gazed upon a golden ring. There he remembered about his beloved Celest who had offered him this ring. At that moment, Max said in a whisper ¨Celest... I miss you so much...¨. Then the ring pulsed and scared Max who almost fell off the tree.

A familiar voice came out from the ring ¨M.. Max? Is that you!? Where are you!¨. Max had found a way to communicate with his beloved Celest, even though they are so far away. Max chatted with her for some time. He learned that Jason, his best friend had felt like some of his magic was used the day before. ¨Could it be that Jason used his powers unvoluntarily to save me?¨ Max thought. Max and Celest spoke together, softly telling each other how much the loved each other. A few minutes later, Max fell asleep at the sound of her voice which for him, the most beautiful lullaby he had ever heard.

"Solstice, eh? Thank you for vanquishing that lizard. I am in your debt. Ayden Skyhart's the name and I too am a questing swordsman. I guess I will go..." Just as Ayden was about to reply his cursed arm pulsated with agonizing pain. He gritted his teeth and fell to his knees.

"Aaaagh!" he screamed. Solstice hurried to him in alarm. Ayden could not hear him though. He could only hear the growling of the evil. The monster inside him had awakened and it was hungry...

(OOC: Are you guys meeting behind the Simrock Inn, or Wind's Breath? Maybe I'll have Drake wander around and accidentally bump into you there...maybe...that might be too...busy-body. O.o)

~Simrock Inn~

Drake slowly opened his eyes. Where...where was he? "M-mother...?"

He moved his leg a little and nearly kicked the empty ale mug off the table. It all came back to him in a flash. He was in an inn in a town called Simrock. He had been drinking the ale...he must've fallen asleep...
How embarrasing! Falling asleep in an inn...well, it could've been worse. The innkeeper's wife could've carried him to bed and tucked him in. THAT just SCREAMS brave, professional mercenary!

He rubbed his head and stood up. The smoke from people's pipes were starting to make him feel woozy. Or maybe it was the ale. Whatever it was, fresh air certainly wouldn't hurt. Paying the innkeeper for the ale, he quickly walked out the door, looking around the town.

"Well, Drake..." he said to himself as he stretched and took a deep breath of pure, clean air. "You've certainly wandered far away from home...might as well look around the place."

(Sindro inn) It seemed clear that Melethor didn't want to answer my question so I just ignored him and continued my aimless travels. I heard some rumors about a group of brigands led by a powerful looking knight at Surko City. I also heard that same group attacked and pilfered some nomad villages in the Lokin Fields. I said to myself: "well Shiroh, another chance to give justice to those in need!" And I headed out.

(OCC: If anyone wants to join me or at least cross paths with me feel free to. it's kinda boring to RP all by yourself lol)
