Dragon Ball Discussion (All Series)

I think all of us have liked this series at some point. At least I did, for awhile. Now that I watch the show as I wait for Futurama to come on, I wonder, what happened? Any more, the show just seems to be cliched plots, cliched fight scenes, and uninteresting new characters. Personally, I enjoyed the Frieza saga and the Saiyan saga, but I stopped watching when the Android saga was about halfway through; it just wasn't cool any more. They didn't have the big plotlines, loveable characters, or anything new about their fight scenes. Still just shooting each other with hand beams and kicking each other in the face.

What's your opinion on these shows?

i liked all of DB and DBZ up until the Buu saga, which sucked. they should've just ended the whole DB series with Gohan as the final hero.

I liked all sagas in DB and DBZ, but I think it was better until cell saga, the boo saga I didn't think so interesting
I think DB was the best of all the others sagas

DB was great for comedy, DBZ was great for the action and fight scenes, and GT well....sucked, except for the SSJ4 transformations and the return of Gogeta.

But out of all three I loved Z the most, I still love the Son Goku vs. Vegeta battle in the Saiya-jin Saga. That fight rocked so much. Frieza Saga was good but felt a little bit too long, nothing compared to the length of fighting Buu though.

Cell Saga was perhaps my most fav Saga, also it brought in my second fav character Mirari(Future) Trunks. *First fav is Vegeta* Plus ended with Gohan being the hero, which apparently Torriyama wanted it to end there but some of the Japanese fans wanted more and didn't want Z to end with Goku dead.

Buu saga had its moments though with the Majin Vegeta vs. Goku fight, SSJ3 Goku, and "Mystic" Gohan. But it felt like it was missing something plus once again Torriyama wanted Gohan to end the fight with Buu but the Goku fans protested... Rolling Eyes

Anyway I still like DBZ to this day but GT was a mess of plotholes and making everyone else besides Goku look weak. Toei really dropped the ball with that one.

-_-;; GT doesn't suck as bad as the Canadian-dubbed version, pathetic. American GT- 10x better, with the GOOD voice actors.

Oh, and I was watching WWE Sunday Night Heat today, and at a commercial it advertised "DBZ the way it was meant to be seen" or something, IE there was a screenshot of Goku or Gohan fighting Vegeta-ape in the Saiyan Saga, He had an EYE jabbed out. Has the good VAs as well. Go to www.dragonballz.com The second Broly movie is coming out as well.

The North American versions of the series are really bad comparing to the originals IMO. They editted out a whole lot of stuff and bad voice acting and bad music.
