Well...this is tough...

I would like to see the fans of the series who own a PS2 able to play the game.

However, since I don't own a PS2 myself, it wouldn't do much good for me, unless I got one for free or got more money than I knew what to do with...

Well..

PS2 is becoming cheap these days.. I know 149.99 is still much, but not bad for a system to play games, and DVDS Smile

^^ I don't need a DVD player, already got one...buuut...I wouldn't mind having a PS2. I'm a pretty loyal GCN fan, but... .hack, Final Fantasy, DDR...very tempting...

As much as I want to see it in English, it ain't happening.

I'll say it here myself. There are three reasons Tales of Symphonia was chosen to be localized over Tales of Destiny 2:

1. It's in 3D. People tend to turn their back away from 2D. With Tales of Symphonia going 3D with cel shaded graphics, it can go into 3D without losing its 2D wonders.
2. Tales of Symphonia is on the Gamecube. Since the system lacks a great RPG, ToS will fill that void (even with that PS2 version announced in Japan). Get a different audience to see the Tales series.
3. It isn't dependent on a previous game. Tales of Destiny 2 is dependent on Tales of Destiny while Tales of Symphonia isn't.

There. Namco chose wisely when they decided to localize ToS over ToD2, knowning that Tales hasn't been successful outside Japan. Either way, I still have my Tales of Destiny 2 import game and a PS2 that's able to play imports.

ToD2 isn't seeing a localization. That's as good as written in stone. We can take a guess [or 2 or 3 or...alot] why, but in the end I don't think we're ever really going to know. It just happened.

Want: sure
Holding breath for it: heck no

If it was translated, I might get it a little sooner than if it wasn't.

I said no, for money reasons and the same impracticality stated earlier.

'Sides, I read the entire plot already, thanks to PeckingBird:

Ah yes, I'm a rather large fan of DeJap, following them for years, they're actually responsible for getting me into ToP. I picked ToP waiting for DeJap to release their SO patch heh.

What about the other five Tales games that aren't released in America? And we'll can probably be able to add ToR to the list. (Although I think ToR has a higher chance at being translated than ToD2j did.)

I hope maybe, its translated by fans..

But snes, is fairly easy to translate... if you knew hacking, and abit of japanese:)

I'm sure the PS2 is much more complicated, and you have to have a modded PS2 and, a dvd burner to even get it, if it was ever fan translated.. id buy the import if it was.

but, im sure we wont see it :/

Plus this is the first sequel to a tales game.. so.. I think you play Stahns son.. and you see filimar faces, Rutee, Philia and the like.. and I also think the swordians are in it in some fashion.

5 games? wha? Tales Fandom really isnt a game.. its like mini games. betwen TOP and Tales Destiny IIj what are you refering too?
