I'd prefer to have a console tales game for the GCN or the PS2 rather than a handheld game.
Which source said it was for the PSP anyway?

The Magic Box and IGN (I think) said PSP. Of course The Magic Box also talked about Tales of Legendia and some other False Tales game >.>.
The movie is technologically possible for both systems as a cut scene(I mean, look at the cutscene graphics on KH:CoM o.o; ). I have a feeling this one is going to be on a Sony console, though =\. I'm not sure, though... They better pick a cool name for it >.>;.

Yeah, but the screenshot that was posted on the main page seems to go toward DS to me. If those are the real dimensions, it could be on the DS. And Fawkes, yeah, I considered the cutscene thing too. I think it's probably going on the GC or PS2...but if it's going to a handheld, I'm going toward DS more than PSP. Who knows? Maybe that Unnamed RPG DS that Namco was planning might not be the Baten Kaitos or Xenosaga game...maybe it could be Project Melfes. Just a thought. :\

I really do hope you're right! The DS currently has so few good games.

I really hope so... I'm tired of playing Prime Hunters' Demo and Mario 64 >.>;. If need be, I'll import MelFes like I did Rebirth.

But there are tons a good games to look forward to! Caslevania and Rockman.EXE (Megaman Battle Network) will own my soul o.o.
