The only thing unfortunate about Vesperia and its reception is the ordeal with the PS3 version. I would say that Vespera is probably the second most popular over here though, yeah.

Vesperia's reputation has long been tarnished anyway. When people think of Symphonia, it's (for the majority) a fond memory. When people think of Vesperia it's just "oh lol 360 beta version Patty Fleur I hate PS3 hashtag Abicion"

I wouldn't say that's all they think, as there are a lot of fond memories to be had. But that is definitely an unavoidable thought that keeps popping up. Depending on how this ToS thing goes, maybe Vesperia will get a PS4 port in 2018 that can finally put the pining away for Vesperia PS3 to rest.

I think we can all agree that Vesperia trumps Graces. So let's move on and talk about Unisont.
I'm among the people who would prefer a remake but I'm mixed about how Namco handles remakes. Granted, a remake will definitely reinvigorate the Symphonia brand in ways a port never will but at the same time there's also the potential that it loses some of its old charm like removing systems and mechanics unique to Symphonia. So overall I'm okay with this port and my main concern, like everyone else, is "what's going to happen with the dub?"

Tbh I adore Symphonia as a game, even now. I'm more than happy that I get to enjoy the original game on a much more modern level. I prefer that to a complete remake.
If there's one I'd welcome a HD remake of its Abyss (now where is Yume Hanabi to back me up...? Come now Yutalia). You can tell just by playing Vesperia where the intended direction of Abyss was, with Namco being unfortunately limited due to lack of access to a HD console.

| Yeah, Symphonia is fine as is. I did consider wanting a remake, but tbh, if they just made it Xillia with a Symphonia skin I would have been disappointed. Symphonia is fine as is and I like it's direction in terms of battle system, skills, speed, etc much more than Abyss and Vesperia. I wouldn't really want to see much modern TS style stuff in it honestly. |

I have never really had a nostalgia boner for symphonia before but just, ughhhhhh I've got one coming on I need this game NOW.
I didn't realize how much I wanted this.

It honestly doesn't even bug me that much. Vesperia is just fine the way it is on 360. I don't even think Flynn and Patty as playable characters would even add that much to the game. Especially considering Flynn major role as an NPC in the 360 version.
Granted, if they do release it, I would gladly check it out. Just I would gladly check out the PS2 version of Symphonia, or better yet this PS3 version. |

I would have loved Abyss in Xillia-style, Symphonia in Vesperia-style and Hearts in Graces-style, but unfortunately none of those are happening.
Maaaaaybe Abyss will get something nice for its 10th anniversary? But I wouldn't bet on it...

On the topic of Cameo costumes, I can say I like some of the ideas being posted here.
Lloyd: Shing or Spada
Colette: Estelle, Ange, Leia (ToX1), or Meredy
Genis: Hubert?
Raine: Annie or Ange (failing Colette)
Kratos and Zelos: Not Leon or Judas or some ****; too obvious. Please bamco don't.
Sheena: Eh, I'd go for Tear, myself, but we already have two goddamn Abyss outfits right out of the gate, so any Milla would do.
Presea: F-Arc!Sophie, or stays in her normal outfit but with a Repede doll attachment.
Regal: Senel or Will.
