It could always be a mothership title which has been trademarked in the past.

I think I'd actually prefer a mothership to ToS HD at this point.

If this announcement has anything to do with the west at all, it'll probably just be that they're localizing Xillia 2.

Although watch it be something small like putting ToD and ToE on PSN(I can only dream...)

has namco ever actually used a trademark that they didn't use for the most immediate game after they were revealed?

I mean, just speculating here, but supposedly Graces' staff(so Team Destiny) were largely absent from Xillia and Xillia 2, and a portion of Xillia developers weren't even working on 2. So that leaves a lot of Tales staff not involved with Tales in recent years, even when Tales Studio was still around for X1.

So there could be a new TD style game in the works, and the name could have been trademarked at the same time as Xillia?

That's what I'm saying, I don't think they've ever gone back for a trademark.

And yeah, I don't doubt they've been working on something, but I think they may have lost staff with the merger. IIRC Team Destiny took a huge hit.

And hey, this could be a Symphonia REMAKE which would definitely take some effort

It could be ToS

but like

what's left of Graces' staff doing a game since '11, as Graces f came out December '10

Plus portions of Xillia's staff moved to that after X1

that game should be pretty far in development now by Namco standards

then maybe they're also starting to plan out the game following THAT now for the X2 team to work on

I dunno, they usually have two games in development at once

Yeah they have been unusually light on releases, and some of them are outsourced even. Maybe we are getting multiple games announced!!

also this is a good point I read somewhere else but uh

Lloyd and Zelos alter figures over something like Ludger or Alvin or something?

Yeah, it's not guaranteed but everything is pointing toward it.

Also Zelos on this month's Tales Mag in addition to the Lloyd/Emil one coming up

I wonder whether they'll retcon DotNW out of existence with ToSHD

Or merge them somehow.

Okay they're being way too obvious now.

If I didn't know any better I'd think they'd announce Symphonia HD at TalesFes and a simultaneous localization of it.
