It meant that the game was too ridiculous to continue at that point. _________________

Yeah, I understood that part. But what was with all the weird viral video-type stuff at the end? _________________ SOON.

I think Spoony would hang himself if he tried to rationalize FFXIII-2's plot, I don't blame him either -- I would too... and I thought I was tolerant of ridiculous writing. _________________

what? XIII-2's plot is actually pretty decent. they outright lied to us about what XIII-2 was going to be about, and the ending is a slap in the face, and i have no idea why lightning is still ostensibly the star of the series when hope and the characters introduced in XIII-2 are way more interesting, but eh.
also spoony's reason for quitting the review is stupid and is explained adequately by the game, but eh he has to create some sort of drama to show his disgust for the game. _________________ Mint-III

Meh, he's just overblowing it. I remember a vlog he made way back, and he said that XIII was just boring to him, not that he hated it more than anything. _________________

It's Spoony. He doesn't review games so much as make a show out of them. silver forte's probably right...I'd wager he just got bored. _________________

The only JRPG that handles time-travel plots well is Chrono Trigger. Now, they're used as a lazy excuse to introduce new characters and...confuse the player further. _________________

One of the funniest things I've ever seen, lived up to the FF8 review. Just need to get FF13-2 done with before he starts on that, have had it for months but just never got around to playing it. _________________ espo -> Another Day -> White Nectar

I'm playing through radiant historia and I think the way time travel is handled in that is brilliant so far. _________________

Seconded.
The bleed through effect between timelines is a little odd/ vague at times, but I think it's the best example of time travel I've seen so far. _________________ Also known as Sliv, Slivvie, Quilvius, Slivendiferious, and slivijizzisious

Just bought this two days ago actually and I'm playing atm too.
This game is definitely a rare breed.
Also to anyone who said Chrono Trigger handled time travel well, it certainly did in its day, but when examined today.... Not so much. So many glaring plot holes. _________________

That was me, I haven't played RH but again, I was only using my nostalgia as a means of getting my point across.
Besides, as someone who loves good storytelling in general, I really don't like it when they use time-travel plots to introduce new main characters...it's really lazy -- like fanfic-written-in-a-day lazy. _________________

b-but if you change the future, you change the past
seriously, this is possibly the most brilliant time travel plot element i've ever heard of. you really have to think about it, but it actually makes sense. _________________ Mint-III
