When it's only 1 year later and has THAT much content, it's obviously planned.

Rather than complain about my opinion, why don't you give me your's?

I don't care either way. I have both versions of Vesperia, and I did not feel the 360 version is a beta at all. I got the full Tales experience in playing it:

100+ hours of game time. Spammed Shining Fang and Dragon Swarm to death. Facepalmed at the 3rd arc. Finished the Extra dungeon. Enjoyed the Colosseum (yet still finished). And I enjoyed motherffuggin Troy Baker.

The PS3 extras are more like additions and expansions to me.

Bottom line: We will never know the exact reason for VesPS3ia. And it's better to allocate that energy in whining to other purposes.

The real slap in the face is the fact that we got PS3 Eternal Sonata, which while a bit better than it's 360 version, it didn't have nearly as much added as ToV PS3, nor even close to the potential fanbase.

And I can also assume (like what you're doing) that ESPS3 is the test for their ports.

Bold line: Hence why they brought it. The game didn't have entirely many new content (compared to VesPS3ia) that it would be a problem in translation and etc~ Mostly 3-5 scenes were added, and all the changes were technical (Skills, Balancing, adding 2 dungeons (?)).

And everyone stop using my ES set to bring up ES. Do you guys want to be Orzel Bialy'd?!

So they use a super-linear and overall mediocre RPG as their test to see if we want much better games that already have fanbase.

Gotta love Namco logic.

I enjoyed ES for what it was but I'm not surprised at all it wasn't well liked.

You answered alll your questions man.

Namco logic is second to doujin logic.

ES is definitely a beautiful game. The environments and music definitely beats Xillia in my book. But for everything else, it was mediocre at best.

And Patrick Seitz (DOGI/Dhaos) is friggin Chopin

Hm, it's almost like Eternal Sonata having less overall new content than Vesperia PS3 would mean that Eternal Sonata would be cheaper to localize.

OH WAIT.

It still had far more potential to sell. The majority of the content was localized already. They just had to voice Patty and some of the new scenes.

It's not like the had to voice EVERY scene that the Japanese version added voices to.

It would be nice, but the game had an already generous amount of voice acting in it. They'd really only have to re-do about 20% of the game

It's too late now. They should have localized it a long time ago but Namco missed the opportunity and didn't.

Vesperia PS3 would bomb here if it was localized this late.

Would have done very well 4 years ago.

People said they would buy ten copies of Graces F when it came out, but in the end Graces didn't do so well.

The whiners are a vocal minority.

7. Tales of Xillia

Good: All skits are fully voiced
Bad: Some voices can be irritating to listen to, others somewhat unfitting of their character. TONS of pointless name changes including most of the towns being renamed as well as some key plot devices, effectively making any walkthroughs and guides written for the Japanese version useless for the US/EU release.

Similar names != same thing. It's still a change, and it is still pointless.
