Well, it seems like we're never going to agree. No offense, but if we can't come to a middle ground, debating is kind of tiring(and pointless), so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on how Graces was written and handled.
I don't mean to sound like I'm coping out, just that I realize that the actions of the characters can be interpreted in different ways(like when we talked about Aston) and we seem to be pretty set into our opinions, so... |

Indeed, but the Xillia discussion will be even greater assuming that Scrawlers has played it. You'll have Kenny making a Scrawlers-length post since he considers Xillia a very flawed game, and then you'll have Scrawlers making a Scrawlers-length reply arguing against him, and then you'll have a debate even longer and deeper than this one. The best days of this thread are still ahead of us, Sunny. |

It's like as players, the characters we play as are the eyes beholding the world itself. Yet the very heart that makes the game what it is, beats to a slow rhythm; making the very planets themselves, even lack depth. NB didn't exercise enough creativity into it to make for a more lively experience.
And just like a picture, the colors may be vibrant enough and the characters ostensibly charming, but behind it all, belies a wasted potential. _________________

Unfortunately virtually all of my Xillia problems are gameplay related besides jude and Alvin which I've kinda beaten into the ground, and I don't dislike Xillia nearly as much ( i actually like it now and love 2) as I love Graces, so I don't have much to say :(
I actually think ToV is much, much more flawed in my eyes but at the time of discussion I didn't feel like talking about it and dealing with like 5 people on me at once because its ToV |

Do your problems with Vesperia have anything to do with how the entire middle third of the game has no plot or overarching character motivation until Alexei randomly becomes a full-time villain off-screen with absolutely no set-up? _________________

^ouch xD
I'm looking forward to the Xillia discussion. I might not be able to chime in since I know next to nothing of the games, but I'm curious what changes you'd want to see.
inb4 kill jude fix combination attacks

Don't worry, I always wait at least a few days to make sure things have actually died off.

That's fine with me. I only wish we all could have been this mature when discussing Abyss.

Flamfas beat me to it, but yeah, I haven't played Xillia yet. I only play games in English, since I'm not fluent enough in other languages (Japanese, primarily) to understand/enjoy them to the fullest. In other words, I'll be ducking out once the Xillia discussion starts since I don't want to be spoiled for the English release. ^^; Sorry if that disappoints anyone.
Though, I will say that I'm amused by the fact that "Scrawlers-length" is being used to describe post lengths. Not surprised, but amused. Almost as amused as I was by the fact that Sliv quoted me in his (her?) signature . . . _________________ "I hear the voices when I'm dreaming;
I can hear them say:

There'll be peace when you are done.

You will always remember.
Carry on!
Nothing equals the splendor!
Now your life's no longer empty,
Surely heaven waits for you."
