So me and 5 other friends just created a custom game mode we like to call "LEAGUE FOOTBALL" (American football, don't you get confused now) We only played it twice cause it's pretty late and some had to go to bed, but it was so fun for the two games we played.
The idea is to score as many touchdowns as you can and score points. The game is played on the Proving Grounds, and what you need to try to do is execute (yep it has to be an execute) yourself on the enemy fountain. Depending on how many towers are left up depends on the score you get with the execute. 1 point for each enemy "building" still remaining, so if the Nexus Turrets, Inhibitor, Inner Turret and Outer Turret are still standing when you succeed in the execute, you score 5 points for your team (not loyal to real football scoring, sadly). If, say, only the 2 Nexus turrets are still up (the Nexus itself doesn't count for scoring at all), then your touchdown only scores 2 points for your team.
In only 2 games, we started discovering so many different strategies. You can choose a team of fast champions to try to just outrun your opponent. You can choose an "ace" team, meant to ace the enemy team and then run to the fountain. You can have 1 dedicated "Runner" and 2 "supports" with high CC to peel for them, such as Blitzcrank, Thresh, Janna, etc. So many items become really viable and powerful too, such as Twin Shadows, Shurelia's, Zephyr. When you're in the lead, you can opt to push turrets and destroy the Nexus so you can end the game while you're ahead... but this has dangers too, because if the enemy team scores points, then it'll be harder to catch up because your touchdowns will be worth fewer points.
Anyway, there's a lot more I could say about it, but we had a blast. We're thinking of changing a few rules around to make it a little better balanced. Oh, speaking of rules... no Stealth champs and champs with Global abilities, or semi-global. No Twisted Fate, Pantheon, Shen, Karthus, and no Evelynn, Twitch, Teemo, etc.
I imagine we'll be trying it out again tomorrow night when we're all usually online. But it was such a blast. |

| Yeah, I pitched the idea in the second game we played, but all it takes for an enemy to hit you with anything to nullify your chances at scoring, so.. he might not really be all that great after all. Granted, none of us have tried it with Hecarim yet. It's quite difficult to actually score a touchdown. |

Couldn't you just stick an Ashe or Caitlyn or shove a Blitzcrank in the fountain?
Morgana would probably be super OP for that too. _________________

One of our "rules" was that after leaving your fountain platform you can't go back onto it.. to avoid "puppy-guarding" with champs with strong AoE abilities like Shyvana, etc. (I guess Morgana could do it from outside the fountain though) I did have some success by standing just outside the fountain platform with Singed and flinging people backward into the fountain, though.
One of my teammates played Lux in our second game for her strong cc, but he ended up being more useful for just poking the enemies down so we could get the kills and reduce our scoring opposition. It's a work in progress.
In other news, I'm 10-0 with Thresh in ranked. Literally carrying me through Silver. I just got promoted to Silver 1 (first time being there since getting placed there initially), and if things keep going this well, I'll be Gold V soon, and that will feel like a huge accomplishment. Thresh is too good, mang. |

More Karma buffs on PBE. This pleases me.
Also, Thresh's Q passive has been moved to his E. _________________

| Won't change much. I'll just get my E at level 2 rather than my W, then 2 more points in W by level 4. I love doing the zoning/harass/presence with Thresh. |

Khazix on sale tomorrow, woo. I thought Wildfire Zyra would be on sale cause of the BR sale, but I am disappoint.
I wish they reworked Ashe for the Freljord patch, too. She's not in desperate need of one, but since they're on this Freljord kick, it would have made sense. imo, she needs improvements to her current passive or a new passive altogether, and some adjustments to her kit to improve her overall damage output so she doesn't end up being a glorified support in late-game fights. _________________

wat
they already gave her a significant buff to her aspd/lv. she is pretty strong in organized teams
her passive is pretty bad for a straight up 5v5 teamfight, but for skirmishes it's not too shabby _________________ Mint-III
