I have a question as to how you say her name. (Or at least how it was said in Japanese) I think that when it is translated, it is Musee, but some people just type Muse. No one knows what the the localized name is, but which one can we assume it would be?
Musee looks like it would be "Muse"+"ie". (Which I kind of like better than just Muse) _________________

The katakana is ミュゼ [myuze], so written crudely for the effect of pronunciation, it's something like myoo-zay. As for what it'll be in the localized version, no idea, but I don't think they'll leave it alone. The name's kind of funky. _________________

I'm hoping they keep it Musee, but most likely they'll change it to Muse. (And if they do that, the pronunciation argument for Elize no longer holds water.) _________________ Icon via iconography. |

Wait, back up, why would "Elize" no longer hold water? Because they both can end in "se"? |

People justify "Elize" because it has the same pronunciation as her name in katakana.
Muse does not. _________________ Icon via iconography. |

Weren't people just saying they were okay with the spelling because of that, not "justifying" it with that?
It's not like a change of "Myoo-zay" to "Muse" would even be the same situation, one's a pronunciation change to look/sound more natural, and the other's just a baffling spelling change speculated to be for removing ambiguity but doesn't really change her name in the end. |
