What If Kratos (Spoilers?)

What if Kratos was Colette's father instead of Lloyd's, but Lloyd pretty much had the same backstory? Would Kratos still have joined them? What would have been different?

Yeah, and the Chosen is born in the mana lineage for the sole purpose of dying. If Kratos had a kid with someone in the mana lineage (which is already a stupid move in itself), he'd go out of his way to make sure Cruxis doesn't know she exists, or fake her death at an early age or something.

Now that I have had some real time to think about this, I have the following scenario:

Some semi-substantial amount of time before the game takes place, say 200 years, suppose Kratos decides to leave Cruxis because he can't go on with what Mithos does (I know he actually does this, but I think he left Cruxis much closer to when the game started than 200 years ago). He spends the first 180 years or so just roaming Sylvarant, avoiding Desians, and surving off the land. Well, eventually someone teaches him about bazongas, and it happens to be someone from the Mana Lineage. He is unaware of this because so much time has passed. Of course, Mithos is aware of this, has the Desians hunt down Kratos and his family, and the rest pretty much plays out like Lloyd's story, minus the special exshpere. Kratos, thinking his family is dead, returns to Cruxis and is forced to live in the dungeons for the next 16 years so he doesn't find out that not only is his daughter alive, but she is the next chosen. Mithos has somebody, probably a human within Cruxis, give Colette, who is still a baby, to Phaidra with the Cruxis crystal, explaining that this baby is the next chosen. Knowing this, Phaidra and Frank take in baby Colette and raise her as their own granddaughter/daughter.

If that happened, where would the game have gone from there? I'm sorry if there is too far-fetched, but since this is my favorite game, I think about it alot.

For starters, someone other than Kratos would've been put in charge of guarding Colette.

Also, in all honesty, Lloyd would probably never have been born since Anna would've died before she could give birth to him (not to mention, who would his father be, Kvar? *squick*).

With that in mind, Genis probably wouldn't have been exiled from Iselia, which means Colette went on her journey alone with Raine and Mr. Stand-in (Yuan perhaps? He couldn't just have killed her in her sleep since Mithos would immediately blame him. On the other hand, Mithos knew about Yuan all along, so Yuan is probably out of the question).

Let's see, Sheena would probably still join because of heavy insistance of Colette. At the tower of Salvation, I'm guessing Kratos broke out of prison and is just in time to save his daughter from turning into the vessel completely and the party is abducted by the Renegades. Yuan and Kratos would agree to join forces at this point. (I'm unsure what to do with Mr. Stand-in).

The party "escapes" to Tethe'alla (Yuan stays behind to take care of the Renegades), and don't crash land on mt. Fuji this time. From there Kratos will probably lead the party into making a pact with Volt to provide the Rheiards with fuel, after which they'll try to find all the necessary materials to make a rune crest for Colette.

I don't think Mithos knew about Yuan's involvement with the Renegades until about the second half of the game. In any case, I still think Kratos would have been sent to make sure Colette went through with her journey. By that time in the game, even knowing that Lloyd was alive, Kratos had pretty much given up on life and decided to let Mithos do whatever he wanted. I still think Sheena would have joined, I think Lloyd would have to be in there somewhere because of his exsphere, and as a result, Genis still would have joined. I just wonder how the tower of Salvation scene would have played out. Also, how would Kratos have acted towards Remiel?
