I'm starting to lose track, so I'm making a topic. I'm only including names that are different.
Characters
Jude Mathis > Jyde Mathis (GER only)
Elise Lutus > Elize Lutus
Tipo > Teepo
Ed > Eldin
Places
Il Fan > Fennmont
Kalakh Shal > Sharilton
Ni Akeria > Nia Khera
Port Ilat > Aladhi Seahaven
Samangan Forest > Sapstrath Deepwood
Samangan Road > Sapstrath Highroad
Bamya Gorge > Bermia Gorge
Kyzyl Seafalls > Kijara Seafalls
Khan Baliq > Barkingham
Other
Ark Noah > Exodus
Gin > Spyrex
Gate > Mana Lobe
BARIBO > Bazongas
I'm probably forgetting some... _________________

The fact that this even needs a thread is sad. _________________ Currently playing: テイルズオブエクシリア |

Er ... No, it's not. Names of people and places get changed in most localizations. _________________

Not usually to this extent. And even then, it's new for the series to go this far.
I've completed both the English and Japanese versions of Symphonia, Vesperia, and Abyss and while there were some minor changes, they were very minor and often just pronunciation differences/slight spelling differences, still usually baring resemblance to the original name.
Which the names in the English Xillia do not, for the most part.
I shouldn't have to re-learn what everything in the game is called just so I can have a plot discussion with someone that played the game in English _________________ Currently playing: テイルズオブエクシリア |

Thank you for not derailing this thread into yet another localization complaint debate. _________________
