That's good to know. I should look more into the previous titles as well though. |
As a newcomer you should definitely check out FE7 (Fire Emblem for GBA) and FE9 (Path of Radiance for GC) before scattering elsewhere. They're hard to find games apparently but the gameplay is perfect for new players, unless you really refine yourself through Awakening... but those two should still be the next step.
Sacred Stones is available on the 3ds shop apparently, so that could be another early stepping stone, but it's kind of eh compared to FE7 and 9 imo. |
Okay, I'll look up those titles as well. _________________ ~Aerith Gainsborough~

This is okay in Awakening, since you'll want to promote/switch as soon as you learn a specific classes' skills, and you have an infinite amount of promotions and class switching. An unpromoted unit learns both their skills at 10, so that's the ideal level to promote in this game. |
Actually due to the way internal levels work:
Unless you're already green...
Unpromoted: Second Seal at 10. Master Seal at 20.
Promoted: Second Seal at 16.
Do NOT Demote... ever or your ilevels will skyrocket and you'll get stuck with 8 EXP/kill.
The math:
internal Level: Cumulative Level + Current Level
When using a Second Seal: Cumulative Level = [Current Cumulative Level] + ((Current Level - 1)/2)
When using a Master Seal: Current Level = 21
(Current Level = Displayed Level, If Promoted, Add 20.)
Cumulative Level Caps:
Normal: 20
Hard: 30
Lunatic/Lunatic+: 50
Maximum ilevel:
Normal: 60
Hard: 70
Lunatic: 90
Minimum EXP Per Kill: 8 (12 With Active Veteran (Paired Up, Vet is lead Unit); 16 with Paragon; 24 (Vet+Paragon Combo))
Minimum EXP Per Hit or Staff or Dance: 1 (1 with Vet; 2 with Paragon; 3 with Vet+Paragon)
Dread Scrolls and Wedding Bouquets count as Second Seals. _________________

Miriel doesn't sadly, it's that hat-fetish of her's similar to Joshua's. _________________

woah I have so many streetpass teams from the con. I like fighting most of them (unless they're too weak) just to see their cards. So many people pairing up LibraxTharja or Chrom Fe!Avatar. And VirionxSully.
So far I've seen a Dread Fighter Libra, 1 Dread Fighter Avatar and a Bride Sumia. Also Avatars named Yuna, Ventus, and Tails, and one guy's message was SHOW ME YO MOVES. _________________ deviantart||tumblr

I can't stand to use any of the female spotpass/DLC characters because of the generic voice they're given. It's very grating and unfitting for 80% of the characters it's used for.
All about Marth and Sephiran, though. _________________ Yasuraka ni... |

They have voices depending on the voice you selected for your avatar. Like when I played with English voice 3, everyone was mute. But when I switched to the Japanese track, the spot characters suddenly had the avatar's voice.
Grima doesn't have a voice clip after you defeat him if you selected male voice 2 even though all of the other (both male and female) options do. _________________ Icon via iconography.
