Alvin's voice mixed with dat Leon inflection, oh dear god does it work so well.

There a link or vid to more of Elize's voice? Thats NOT Lee, it sounds much more closer to Sarah Williams

I didn't expect them to stoop so low as Wendee Lee as a lead. I've always been a big supporter of the English dubs but this may be the first one I just hate. Sam's a great VA, loved him as Flynn, but he really does not fit Jude. Disappointing. Probably the only Tales I'd use the original voice track on... But I can't.

Who confirmed that Leia was Wendee Lee? And don't say that Steve guy on twitter. He probably doesn't know his VAs, because Leia did not sound like Wendee Lee. She sounded noticeably younger than how Lee normally sounds.

Either way, we won't know who's who for sure until we can hear higher-quality clips.

I'm just playing by ear. The "woah!" is pretty tell-tale. If it's not her, great. I hate to be negative about my favorite series.

If she is: Too bad Leia got the Mami costume in Xillia 2 lol.

...tbh, I can't hear it from her...or maybe that's just her voice for Sayaka?

I just don't hear any Wendee Lee in Leia at all. Either it's not her, or she has far more control over her range than we give her credit for.

And come on, yeah, Riegel as Jude is a bit different, but who says different means bad?

I'd downright hate if they tried to copy Teepo's Japanese voice. Torture to the ears, that one.

First, I don't think Elize should 'sound' the way she does in that clip. I'm thinking it's more of a direction than a voice acting problem, but I really hope she doesn't talk like that for the whole game. I agree that it sounds more like X2 Elize. On the other hand, if that was Teepo talking with her in that win quote, he (maybe she now?) sounds hilarious-adorable!

Second, I am not exactly comfortable that they got a soap opera actress to voice a main character in a high profile video game. You might call it a bad stereotype, but I've watched a handful of soap operas in my time, and they did not have excellent acting... Not to mention that plenty of actors have said themselves that being able to do live action and being able to do voice overs are -very different- talents.

On the other hand, we've heard like, two lines from her total, so I'd be very pleased to be proven wrong.

Third, I don't like Bazongas (an actual English euphemism for boobs) for Baribo. Mostly because while you can pull meaning out of baribo (baribari, volleyball, etc) it's a nonsense word and wasn't in use before Xillia.

What it boils down to, is that I feel both Alvin and Rowen are 'teasing' Jude in the original version like "Oh, you don't know "made up thing"? -Everyone who is anyone- knows "made up thing" though!" (Not that I doubt that both Alvin and Rowen knew what Teepo was referring to)

It feels off to me. Like how in subtitled anime, when a character says something in English and the other character goes "(English word)? Do you mean (Japanese word)?" It's something that's always annoyed me when It happens, so I guess I'm a little puzzled as to why the localizers would intentionally write something like that -into- the dialog when it wasn't there in the first place.

My nitpickings out of the way, I'm still super looking forward to this! (I also think Leia, Rowen and Alvin all sound awesome and plan to keep them in my party at all times~)

But now I wanna hear a few major NPC characters ^_-

Noji actually isn't just a soap actress, she's done movies and also voiced a few minor roles in video games before, from a quick perusal of her work history. She appears to be quite varied.

As for barribo... it seems to me that while it's nonsense to us, it's not nonsense to the characters, in which case it isn't merely teasing him over something that doesn't actually exist.

Also, I forgot to mention, the posters they handed out say Xillia's still Rating Pending with the ESRB. Not too important, but I figure that means they've yet to finish entirely with the localization process, perhaps?

Color me stupid if it's in plain sight, but is there a clip posted i'm missing of Elize's voice?

Whenever I go to Telly it just shows a video still and doesn't play.
