and please tell me a ps3 patch is coming for eps 5-8 please please PLEASE. I think I could get used to the old sprites if I -had- to, but I really can't imagine reading it without voices.

Dame da ze.
Zenzen dame da ze.

I bought the PS3 game and played it alongside my laptop. The lines are synchronized perfectly. Umineko looked gorgeous on a flat screen in 1080p. I never noticed how detailed the backgrounds were when I read in on my computer. You don't want to miss the sprites, voice acting (moe Beatrice), or CGs either.

Unfortunately I can't really buy things online, so that rules out getting the PS3 version. =/

But I'm sure I'll get around to reading the latter eps SOME way. Leaving the story unfinished would just be... stupid.

Double post, but who cares. I finished the first episode of Umineko. Some thoughts:

Umineko spoilers wrote:
It got pretty intense towards the end, but I'm still not ready to admit that the murders are supernatural. It's not -impossible- to explain some of the murders. For example, this is kind of farfetched, but there was a detective movie where the criminal had closed a door latch from outside with a violin string, making it look like a closed room. I'm guessing the same happened here too. There are obviously some points that are harder to explain (driving stakes through heads?), but I'm sure it's possible to find a logical method for them too.

Besides, it's too easy of an answer to say that a witch did it. Battler was also reading some books about magic circles and their meanings in Kinzo's study, so it's not like you would need prior knowledge of the occult to make them seem legitimate. This also means -anyone- could have painted the circles, and not just Maria and Beato.

And this might be nitpicking, but I also don't believe Beato killed Eva and Hideyoshi because the epitaph says "-Those who remain- shall tear apart the two who are close". Unless Beato of course counts as one of the remaining people. :V

There are also some problems with my theories. If Beato doesn't exist, then who killed Kanon? Or if she -did- kill Kanon, then why did she have to escape through the boiler room? If it was just to lure the others there, the stench of Kinzo's corpse would have been enough to eventually lure them there.

Anyway, that was just some pointless rambling to clarify my thoughts. Besides, when I'm done with Seakittens, I can look back and go "wtf was I thinking".

I finished Little Busters.

I hated Nishizono's route. Whoever wrote that garbage must have been suffering from a severe case of chuunibyou. The author couldn't go two sentences without making something a metaphor.

Other than that, most of the other routes were okay. I shut off Kud's and Komari's voices because I found them grating, but their stories along with Kurugaya's and Haruka's were fairly enjoyable.

Rin's route was great, and Refrain gave me an entirely new appreciation for the VN. I got very emotional towards the end, which surprised me because I had no idea that I was so attached to the characters by that point.

All in all, Little Busters wasn't something I initially liked, but it grew on me. I'd give it an 8/10.

I'll start Cross Channel next because Tanaka Romeo is brilliant.

I liked Mio's route

I actually thought her and Haruka had the best out of the girls(not counting rin 2 of course which is better than everything not refrain)

I forgot to mention Haruka, but hers was good and dramatic. She was my favorite heroine next to Rin.

I'm looking forward to Ex being translated since Maeda wrote one of the new routes, apparently.

Rin 2 was wonderfully atmospheric. I loved the bleak, tiresome, repetitive days, the sense of isolation, the subtle undercurrent of unease that permeates the story with Riki and Rin understanding on some level that what they're doing is foolish and their way of life can't be maintained in the long run. Very, very powerful stuff.

Haruka's story arc doesn't offer anything as good as the later stretches of Rin 2, but Haruka herself is easily my favorite girl. I'm actually a rather picky person romantically (the only Little Busters characters I'm actually attracted to are Haruka, Kanata, and to a smaller degree Rin), but Haruka hits many of my buttons personalitywise; I could definitely see myself falling for her were she a real person. (The perfect tits don't hurt either) Her voice actress did an excellent job, also - I rewound to listen to parts of her dialogue quite often because she did a great job with the many screams of rage sprinkled throughout the arc.

If we're going to discuss Key heroines with perfect breasts, Akane's are so incredible that they saved mankind.

I finished the fourth episode of Umineko today(so the first game.)

It was pretty great. Battler is one of the coolest main characters ever.

The mystery and intensity of the plot is great too. Once things get going in each episode it becomes hard to put down. It's one of those things you'll stay up all night reading.

Why did you all abandon my thread you farts

oh well, all the useful info I put together in that thread died with the forum, so this thread is as good as any I GUESS.

ps I'm just posting so I can double post to paste in my massive long post about rewrite so I can force everyone to scroll past it whenever they look at the page lol.

also if you're going to read my long post you should count how many times I started a sentence with the word also, because I do that way too much.
