Kaji, I have a question.
What IS Kohaku's Soma?
An anklet or a baton? Or is a baton that somehow materializes while she's wearin her anklet? _________________

Yes, the thing on anklet materializes into the baton Elrond. (Which is also her Soma.)
also thank you seventh chord for ruining one of my favorite male tales characters _________________ Icon via iconography. |

I thought that too, but at the top of King's Cross, Kohaku jumps and started floating midair. She creates a magic circle below her, materializing the baton a la Fullmetal Alchemist (for a second I thought she would change her outfit for a mahoushoujo one).
Sorry for the stretchiness, but I guess this is worthy.

soma tend to be armor/accessories that you wear that generate a weapon on demand.
Master - Name - Armor - Weapon
---
Shing - Asteria - Shield - Shortsword
Hisui - Gale Arc - Wristguards - Bowguns
Kohaku - Elrond - Anklet - Baton
Beryl - Tierre - Hat - Brush
Innes - Forseus - Shinguards - Axeblade
Kunzite - Vex - Dorsal Fin? lol - Flexible Arms/Blades
Calcedony - Wahrheit - Breastplate - Sword + Wings
Peridot - ? - Bracelets + Anklets - Wrist + Ankle Blades
Byrox - ? - (not totally clear, might be that his big gun is the physical form and the small thing is the materialized thingy? or the other way around?)
Tekta - ? - (sheath?) - Katana
Glallarndo - Astore - Shoulder Pauldrons - Handaxe + Machete
i believe those are the only somas featured in the game, or at least the ones that we see/learn any information about. possibly Silver's double-blade thing is also one, not sure.
to clarify, the armor part stays all the time, while the weapon part can appear and disappear. in Asteria's case, the hilt of the sword also appears to be "real", while the blade of the sword is generated.
EDIT: updated galad's soma name, thanks TOSF! _________________ Mint-III

So they don't necessarily disappear nor morph into something else?
Well, I guess I need to apologize to that scene. (Somas are awesome)
Thanks for the info Kaji.
Didn't know that Beryl's hat is part of her Soma. _________________

They only appear/disappear out of nothingness in ToHR because it's difficult to only partially render the 3D model. It wasn't an issue in ToH because they used sprites (and rarely really showed the weapons appearing/disappearing in the first place). One of the Shing's victory poses actually shows him putting his sword back into the buckler, but it suddenly disappears completely halfway through.
But if Kohak just summons it out of thin air... huh. _________________

I think that the scripter misinterpretated the meaning of "hotblooded" with "violent brute", thus we got the Heart's siblings with a disfunctional comunication mode (I don't think that someone else other than Chuck Norris is able to send its thoughts in such way).
But you know, behave like them is funny and awesome, right users? _________________

| Just shows once again how totally worthless Namco Bandai Games is without the actual developers. 7th Chord is actually doing great on what they do, just a huge shame they got to stick to some other game's story. |

The spears looks similar to QQ's spear in design, so that's without a doubt her. _________________

That's QQ for sure.
That outfit just looks like her dream job dlc costume in TOIR
Oh and Gallad said, "I'm back"
That's actually hidden scene for ending.
His objective is to avenge his late wife and daughter (and also to on a certain mission, perhaps to get one of the Soma). And he succeeded.
EDIT:
Sorry for the broken image. I've replaced it with the one in Tokkurin's blog.
