Honestly, I have no idea.
There's a "Cooking Master" trophy and its description only refers to the gameplay mechanic of cooking. So, probably not.
edit: Yup, seems like they axed the Heal Stone.

I am honestly sad about the lack of BerylXInnes and KunziteXHisui MA's and I think there's too many for the hero and heroine but its the not first time Tales has done that either. I am also going to miss the Heal Stone if that got taken out I don't use cooking very often  I can't wait for more screenshots >_<

So, what are Shing's wishlist from ToIR Drama Chat, again? I know he wants Cooking System and a Dual Hi-Ougi with Kohak (both of which are granted), but are there more?

Cooking was confirmed long ago. :/
I prefer cooking over Heal Stone tbh because you can still get stuff like stat increases, elemental resistances, combo plus etc. and have more control over it.

It was revealed together with other stuff, they didn't make a big fuss over it so I can see why you missed it. Seems to be the exact same system ToIR uses.

wait, what? unless cooking has changed greatly in the last several tales games i didn't play, the heal stone has unparalleled customizability. especially in Tales of Heart: Translator's Cut where the bugs/weird usability behavior is fixed and the emphasis is shifted more to many small uses of the heal stone rather than very few huge chunks of healing

No Kaji, Xillia COMPLETELY revolutionized cooking. You don't even have to do the cooking! You just buy pre prepared meals and eat them when you desire. (Not kidding)
