She ... is? I mean, I guess looking at it closely now, it has a slightly pinkish tinge, but it looks mostly silvery and metallic to me. And it's just a tiny pearl band in her hair. _________________

Wow I like Kellam so h8trs can sit down. And I don't think thieves can steal anymore, if that's what you're asking, Dice. _________________

This isn't the first time armor knight and general designs have looked kind of outlandish, though. GBA knights were pudgy little round guys who looked like they'd have trouble taking more than a few steps before bowling over, and generals were practically walking towers of metal. This just happens to be the first time every character is depicted wearing armor actually designed like the class uniform, which gets us Kellam over there.
Also I don't really know if I want Senri Kita back after she mangled Soren and Astrid's portraits in RD... |

Eh but it's not about the characters themselves, I'm just picking at the armor. Like how do knights of Awakening even move their arms? 9/10 armor designs were cool and practical but the ones in 13 are a little over-the-top for my taste. Not to mention the boob plates. I know most people don't give half a **** but I can't help noticing these things sometimes, medieval fantasy is my favorite genre. |

Tha shi is PANK son.
Ah well. SHe also suffers the same issue as Marvel super heroes*. You put your life on the line, but you do it wearing as little as possible -- Sumi is still in a mini-skirt.. I realize I'm a woman and a minority in liking fan service though. =/ *Shrug* She still has a lovely enough design nonetheless. It's cute, however army-impractical it may be (mini skirt+horse riding)
*(granted, Marvel takes this to an 11). _________________ http://dice9999.deviantart.com/

what fire emblem lord doesn't look like a jrpg character
i know fredrick's not a lord but c'mon go look at roy for example
also honestly dice it's not even fanservice so much as if everybody wore bulky armor their designs would just be boring as ****
for maximum protection nobody should be having their face showing, for example

Roy, roy, roy's our boy.
I still weep that he wasn't in Brawl. Love that man.
Hey hey, I edited my post too. I admit I *like* Sumia and other's designs. IN a war setting? Naw, I'm not to crazy about it, but coming at it from any other way, I do like them -- they are unique for each character, and I admire that a heck of a lot. _________________ http://dice9999.deviantart.com/

JRPG refers to region. SRPG refers to battle style. Just as there can be JRPGs that are ARPGs, SRPG and JRPG are not mutually exclusive. _________________

Yes but I'm referring to the FF stereotype that most people think of when they read jrpg. Which contains generally more fantastical and outlandish designs than anything the FE series ever has. _________________

| Especially so in the GBA era, with all the super flashy animations and dancing, flute-playing dragonfolk flitting about. |

Then big eyes, rainbow-variety hair colors, and "<" noses certainly seem to indicate JRPG.
EDIT: Man... my 3DS was charging, and I just let that intro song loop for a bit, the one that plays when you select a file and create your character. Luv. <3 _________________ http://dice9999.deviantart.com/
