Which Tales game do you think had the closest party? Which one really felt like a family by the end of the adventure?

By vote either goes to Legendia or Vesperia as being the most closest, even though I think every game the characters really bonded.

Which game do you think had the least closest party?

Out of the games I've played, Xillia, I'd say.

Tho idk, every party seems rather close...

If memory serves me right, you've yet to play Legendia, don't you?

Yeah. I'm reading the manga, but volumes only come out every 3 months or so, so it'll take a while before I get the whole picture ^^;

I'm curious about how the chemistry is Xillia works, how do 2 fully grown men (Alvin and Rowan) interact with 2 young girls (Elise and Leia)

Yeah, Legendia wins this hands down. It's especially evident because the party almost literally starts out at each other's throats.

In many ways...

I'm not sure what's so confusing about this.

Yep. It's the only game where you hate litterally every character when they're first introduced but come to love them as they develop.

Legendia with Shirley, I thought it was particularly well done and everything by the end of the character quests was perfect.

It's not that strange, tbh.

no spoilers but avoiding too much Xillia info off of Xillia subforum wrote:

Every party has that "old man" character, and Rowen fills that role really well? He's a butler, and not in a "sarcastic old-man" way, but in a, "wow! He's a really good butler!" way. So, he kind of helps to take care of the party.

Alvin's really not...very adult either. He's very immature, and it shows. Him and Elise have an almost brother/sister relationship, where he teases her, and she kind of acts huffy about it, but you can tell they care for each other?

Jude plays the role of a sweet, big brother. Milla is like her cool older sister, and Leia's her energetic, older sister? By the end of the game, barring certain events, the party really becomes a family, ala Vesperia or Legendia.

Also, surprised at the little mention of Graces, but I don't know if they count, because they actually are family.
