So it is indeed being localized by Namco Bandai. Jesus Christ what happened. They're like a completely different company now (this is not a complaint). Too bad this shift came too late to save .hack// though.
....oh **** I forgot Kite and Black Rose are in this game (among so many other awesome characters.) _________________

| Honestly, I thought that this would've stayed in Japan. That's why I bought it about 2 weeks ago. |

| $30 including shipping. It was that one day Play-Asia had it on sale. Part of me is really thinking to return it. |

I wonder why Sega or Capcom not in charge for the localization? Or is this a collaborate localization? At least Sega or Capcom would add dubs to the game. I don't mind sub only game which is what matters the most, but it would have been nice to get it dub. _________________ "Don't let it end like this...Tell them I said something." Pancho Villa

| Julio wrote: | | I wonder why Sega or Capcom not in charge for the localization? | Because it's developed by Banpresto, a company owned by Bandai.
| Julio wrote: | | At least Sega or Capcom would add dubs to the game. | I doubt that. Atlus didn't bother dubbing Endless Frontier which had a cast of original characters excluding the Xenosaga cameos; it was basically just battle dialogue and shopkeeper intros. Even for a bigger company, Project X Zone would require so many unique actors to avoid facing a backlash, that it's still probably safer to just stick with the Japanese dialogue. The English voice acting would probably be complained about anyway, as if the Japanese dialogue is somehow not as cheesy/overacted.
I don't have any specific reason as to why, but it always seems that it's easier for Japan to reunite VAs with their roles compared to America. I don't want to say anything pretentious, so I'm not even gonna suggest a possible explanation. _________________

Happy to see that no one cries about the non-existent English dub XD
I would have prefered it, but it is no must have for me, so I'm happy that I can play the game with some subs at least |
