Oh hey there was pretty much the reason I stopped caring about ponies in general is when they managed to outawful one of the worst fandoms in existence. Like my god, it's frightening. The hope is, or perhaps it already has happened and I haven't been paying attention, that the terrible just slowly thins out and the fandom more or less stabilizes.

I certainly think it is, anyway. It's not a bother, I just think it sounds like an extraordinarily uncompelling and pointless thing to document.
If this is a "ha ha let's all talk about how much we hate bronies" then uh yeah I agree with you. Personally I think the fandom gets bizarrely obsessive but it's not really my business what other people like.

They have, google results as well as DA and furaffinity results have out matched Sonic. It was kinda fascinating.

You're posting on a forum that is centered on a Japanese Role-Playing Game. With members from all over the world. Most of which have anime-flavored signatures and avatars (that match, no less). Our personalities and tastes are as varied as possible. We're all gathered here thanks to weeaboo video games.
and you're surprised that most of us are defending a group of people who are basically doing the same thing we are doing, except with ponies
it's not that the people here are politically correct, it's just that they don't care

I have and I shed a tear for every single one
Honestly though I couldn't care less about ponies, I've never seen the show and don't plan to, and I don't judge people who watch it. Yet I can't help but be annoyed when ponyfags insist on injecting their fandom into every other series ever in some shape or form.
