One of the most frustrating Nintendo peripherals to find. Nintendo quality ones have been sought-after with the release of SSBB in 2008.
Now, even Play-Asia is out of stock and I don't trust Amazon or EBay. Dammit, why are people always buying them?
And here I thought I quit online SSBB for good but...it calls to me. _________________

I'll take Amazon before eBay any day of the week.
I got like four of these things, good condition (except one that @*)&#^ cousin spilled Coke on....). Anytime I see one, I nabbed it, and got one in perfect condition when I bought a GC for $25 haha
Might be a good idea to check retro game stores. I find there's one in every major city (I don't know where you're from, but hell, if a semi-boondock country like Canada has them, I'm sure any in the States does).
That reminds me, anyone have a GC or 1st Gen (bckwrds compat.) Wii they're willing to sell? _________________ Updated Feb, 22,'13~!! *

I'm glad I leave such an impression on you, Curi. Guess you haven't had your issues with 'em yet.

How thoughtful of you. However, I can assume they are still bought quickly due to their limited lifespan, so I'm better off looking for new ones. _________________

Hm. I actually just bought some nintendo-quality ones at a local retro game store that they refurbished themselves. But what I really want are some damn wavebirds. They are impossible to find locally.
;_; I just want to be able to play gamecube games from bed. Is that too much to ask? _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tbh, I'm surprised Nintendo never made a GameCube controller adapter to plug into the bottom of Wiimotes. Would have essentially turned any wired controller into a Wavebird. _________________ Gaming in 2013:

Oh, I didn't know Wavebirds are rare now.
Makes me feel lucky that I got one when I had the chance. *giggle* _________________

My nephews beat/abused/used/bit (literally) all my wired GameCube controllers to crap.
Except my Wavebird. I never even let them touch that one. I guard it with my life. Best controller ever made and a real shame they're so hard to find nowadays. |

In CP's defense Amazon is horrible when it comes to pre-orders, at least up here. Don't have any other complaints though, and this obviously isn't a pre-order. _________________

I think I remember seeing a Wavebird in a thrift store over here. Haven't been there since Saturday. I hope it's still there when it opens later. _________________

What are you doing to yours? Mario Party? I've only ever had one controller get weird on me and its still usable. _________________
