Neg: One of my roommates shaved off half his hair, then swept it into a corner by the door. Now not only is there a pile of hair just sitting there, but there's a trail of hair leading from the hallway through the kitchen.

Negative: I'm really hoping I don't have the flu...

It started Friday afternoon and escalated to a fever of a 101.2 yesterday evening. I was so weak and freezing cold. I couldn't even lift a gallon of milk without shaking. ._.

I don't have the aches and pains of being "hit by a bus" that most people describe, but everything from the neck up feels like utter crap.

Shame on me for not getting my shot. Haha...

Positive: Scrivener is amazing. x3

Fick: I want to go back to school. It's a little late for the spring, but I can try signing up for a class in the fall. I was thinking of trying a basic drawing course and just working my way up. I can only afford one class per semester anyway.

Neg: Sister went back to California after visiting for the holidays. No more adorable baby niece for probably a year.

Pos: I've finally done it! I've passed my latest goal of hitting 80 lbs of weight loss. I wanted to hit this before the new year but the holidays got in the way of my goal in multiple ways. Current total weight loss: 81.5 lbs. It'll be interesting to see how much I've lost once it's been an entire year since I started seeing results (in March).

neg: I've had this god damn sore throat for over a week, and according to the internet, it could either be AIDS or a tumor. However, I don't have the dosh for a doctor's visit. so WHATEVER.

SUPER POS: I've been in the same AD&D group for 8 years starting today, and we're playing in a couple hours. Then tomorrow, I'm playing with my D&D 3.5 group (and we've been playing for like, 6 years). I look forward to this **** every week when I'm home and out of college.

EDIT: no AD&D today... my Dungeon Master has to work. meh :'(

fick: I just got done reading Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis, and... can this guy only write 1980's american yuppies with sociopath issues?

I had credited out of physics in college due to AP scores, but I needed to review the content, as physics is a prerequisite for one of the classes I'm about to take. I haven't done so well at reviewing (it was break ...).

THANKFULLY, I realized today that physics is actually a CO-requisite, which means I can review throughout the semester, and as long as I'm not going too slow, I'll be fine. I'm very happy.

pos:

campus wifi doesn't work on my 3DS (probably the security protocol, I'm guessing), but I found a place I can walk to that has free wi-fi. This is great; I will now be able to head on over there if I ever need to download stuff (Fire Emblem DLC).

so my driveway, measured by google maps, is about 25m long, 2m wide at the narrowest, and friday we got a full 15cm of snow

this is 25m*2m*0.15m = 7.5m^3 of snow
google searches tell me the density of this snow is about 20% that of water

so i'm basically saying I shoveled more than a metric ton of snow today

Yeah. It's not definite with flu shots. They basically play a guessing game with which strain will be the most likely to affect us. They just guessed wrong this time?

Well, good news is that it's likely just a cold. I'm starting to feel better already. My fever broke too.
