We've had bots since forever. You'd just never see them. 04-08 were pretty well-moderated (in terms of keeping trash bots off the site, anyway), so most ad bots would get taken care of in almost no time at all.

Are you using firefox? I've had some issues with their newest version back then. There was a lot of hyperlink that could send me to dangerous sites (I didn't click on them). I had to downgrade my firefox.

That's odd I'm using Adblock as well and it doesn't pick up on anything in the site, same with NoScript.
I'm thinking virus but I'm far from an expert in this sort of thing.

I think it's too specific to be a virus.
I mean, if I'd create a virus, I'd make the advertisements show up on every page you visit, not just TSF.

Um, yeah...to my knowledge, nobody has ever had to deal with that. At least I've certainly never seen ads here in all the years I've been here.
