Oh, that last one looks amazing... for the second form. They're too tame to be the third form. _________________

http://gematsu.com/2013/01/pokemon-x-and-y-to-boost-franchise-to-over-700-pokemon
| Quote: | In addition to existing Pokemon, there will be a large number of completely new Pokemon. The additions will bring the total number of Pokemon in the franchise from the current 649 to over 700.
Because of Pokemon X and Y, the Pokemon anime, movies, card game, and merchandise will “break into a new dimension.”
People around the world will be able to simultaneously experience “Real Play.” (I’m assuming this is referring to the game’s global October release.)
The game will utilize the 3DS to its maximum abilities to leverage its overwhelmingly beautiful presentation.
The game uses an innovative communication system that makes it feel as if you are playing with other players around the world.
The bonds between players and Pokemon will deepen, and Pokemon will become stronger with the new battle structure.
Everyone will enjoy the game’s scenario and music. |

Right? I would hope that when they heard the Pokemon fans clamoring for change, they didn't just assume we wanted the changes to be merely aesthetic.
I want the entire formula to be changed for once. |

I don't disagree. I just think it's funny how that news isn't actually telling us anything. _________________

yadda yadda I am so hype, I regret buying a regular DS because now I need to buy a 3DS etc I am late on this but I am honestly so excited for stuff
likely sticking with male trainer/fire type. Only time I've broken this was with Gen V, where I went with male/water.
But I like all the starters this time, that's refreshing
I haven't had that moral deliberation since Gen II |

Yeah.
Though them commenting that "everyone will love the scenario" piques my interest. Nintendo has surely heard that fans are clamoring for change in the series and going into fully 3D is already a gigantic step. It makes me think that they've looked into fan complaints and requests and are going to try and implement them in the game. I'm sure badges will still be present, but if it's still just 8 badges being the core with a team that shows up occasionally to impede your progress it's a bit of a weird thing to specify.
The interactive communication system sounds interesting too. If online is going to be a major feature of this game, that'd be really cool. Co-Op battle frontier in HGSS is a blast, so I'm sure anything they could add that lets you play Pokemon with your friends will be really good. It's a pretty competitive game for many after all. |
