I'm just curious, what do you all think of Tales of Graces? Also, what is the best title to get and how to get it?

Not a fan of it and there isn't really an objectively "best" title.

It has an amazing battle system. One of, if not the best in the series.

It has a very likable cast of characters who are very funny and play off each other really well in the skits.

I personally really like the storyline too, but opinions are mixed on that so I certainly won't tell you to get it for the story.

It's also filled to the brim with sidequests, cameos and sub events.

It is by far my favorite Tales of.

It depends on where you live. You can find the localized titles online easily on Amazon. If you want a Japanese title, PlayAsia, CDJapan, and YesAsia are all good places to import from. There's also eBay...

Graces may be your thing. I think it's okay, but it's definitely not one of my favorites. Like Ruin said, there isn't really a best title from an objective standpoint.

Friendship, Protecting, and Crablettes.

Oh, and Tiger Festival.

Seriously: Enjoyed it. Spent some hours on post game stuff. Hated some bosses. Loved Hubert (main), Pascal, and Malik too.

I enjoyed it for what it was. I enjoyed the battle system.

The characters are decent. Major props to Hubert, Pascal, Sophie and Richard.

Idk, I enjoyed the story, I liked that the game had tons of content.

Not the best Tales, but one of my favourite of the series.

I personally loved it story and batte system-wise, Fourth favourite Tales game for me. The characters all had more depth than I expected and IMO they went a unique route with a well overdone general theme (friendship) it wasn't overwhelming like in some things and Asbel and co acted very realistically. F arc also added to the awesome for me, I adored it and it added plenty of value to the game.

I might have gone in expecting too little from the plot and characters, but in the end it made it to my Top 5 Tales~

The best Tales depends on your tastes, but for most of the English ones you can check Amazon, GameStop/EB Games in North America, sometimes your odd Best Buy. For importing I usually use Playasia they are pretty trustworthy

It's got one of the bests battle systems but story-wise I felt like the plot cared too much on uninteresting stuff while leaving stuff I wanted to know more about unexploited (I wanted to know so much more about emeraude/fodra...)

I'm not looking to buy the game, I already have it. So there is no best title? I'm talking about titles in the game that upgrade your characters, not game titles.

Anyways I like the game myself, I haven't played but Tales of Phantasia, Destiny, and Eternia and Graces and I am having more fun with Graces than all of the others although I liked them in their own way. I don't personally have a favorite but Graces is pretty good, it does focus a lot on friendship and betrayal.

I like Asbel as a main character, but Stahn in Destiny is my favorite and the plot so far is interesting, same with the characters. I thought Malik was pretty cool, he is the cool mature guy of the bunch.

The plot is good, it kind of leaves you wondering what will happen next and how things will go with Richard and him taking all the cryas from those crystal things and if the world will end or not from him doing so. He makes a good villain, I knew right in the beginning that he would be a villain, I could just tell.

I'm like in the middle of it so I don't know if it'll turn out to be a huge disappointment but I'm just glad its not linear like FFXIII was. After playing that you would like almost any other RPG.

The battle system in Graces is one of the main things that got me hooked, its pretty good.

Are there any secret bosses to fight later on? Someone said there are a lot of sidequests so does that include secret/optional boss fights?

Eh, didn't really scratch the Tales itch I've had for a while. Probably my least favorite Tales game that I've played, but still pretty good

Pros:
-Some really funny skits
-Strong story concept (at least in the beginning)
-Cool, flashy battle system (not necessarily better or worse than TP despite how others feel)
-Story gets better near the end
-Fair amount of side content
-Title system is a cool leveling/customization system

Cons:
-Localization a bit weaker than other titles
-Middle of the story kind of sucks, imo of course
-World map is fairly linear
-A lot of side characters need alot more development, especially the earlier villains
-Title system can make it annoying to get certain artes

I'm probably missing a few points

Since I don't really pay too much attention to technical stuff, I can't really remember the best titles for everyone

Skits and LMBS were great, but I really didn't like the story (nor Asbel). Still a good game though.

I liked Graces for its battle system and the rather epic skits in the F arc. The story isn't terrible... Just bland. And just like the story, I found adult Asbel to be about as exciting as dryer lint. Pascal, Malik and F arc Richard make it worth playing though.
