I want new characters and, dammit, I want HD cell shading to return for another game. Although, there's a pretty good chance of that for the inevitable Symphonia remake

I hope you don't mean of the end tales game series.It's thanks to Xillia I am into the tales games ,only from Xillia onward,so they should make many tales games.The 20th anniversary title(to be released maybe in 2015 or 2016) should be the best one we could expect it to be. |

Cel shading: Yes please!
Symphonia remake: They've got a whole lot of stuff to fix, but if they do, I'm getting the console it will be on just for this.

if you own a gamecube go buy symphonia. if you own a ps2(or a 3ds) go buy abyss(3ds) or legendia. own a ps3? go buy graces f. own a 360? go buy vesperia. own a wii? go buy dawn of the new world. its not to late if you own any of those handheld or consoles devices. |

No one even cares about Graces story to begin with. We like it because of the gameplay. So go get it.

It's true though. I could not stomach another playthrough of Graces if not for the option to skip through scenes.
And that Grade Shop option to skip the childhood arc is basically just official confirmation that the story is absolutely and positively ****.

It's fantastic that you've taken an interest in the series, but this certainly doesn't mean you can't get any of the older games. Even if you would need to buy another console for some (many) of them, many of the older consoles and handhelds run cheap nowadays. I'd say many of the others are frankly better than Xillia, so I think you're really missing out if you choose not to play anything else in the series.
EDIT: How have you missed the opportunity to get the other games? Are they not available in your country, and is importing not an option somehow?
