I think it's exacerbated by the fact that Nintendo seriously requires a 5 GB firmware update on day 1. That really suggests how behind that on production they are; that to even get this scarce a number out, they couldn't wait for the firmware to be finished.

WHY WOULD YOU CLOSE THE CONSOLE DURING A FIRMWARE UPDATE!?

And isn't the update 1GB?

Apparently Mass Effect 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge look a little worse than the other consoles' versions, and ME3 also has frame rate issues.

I'm just going to blame the developers/publishers and not the console. Lazy ports are always gonna look bad, right?

But there's no reason for these to be lazy ports, they had plenty of time. AC and NG3 even had new content, a significant amount in NG3's case. I'm curious, were the western games outsourced?

I do think that the Batman image is not a common situation though, it seems fishy. What's the source on it?

There was a NeoGaf thread about the underperformance of some WiiU ports.

****ing piece of crap took forever to connect to the internet. I had to call Nintendo support and assign a static IP and DNS. Took like two hours of running around from my living room to router to computer, disabling wireless security, power cycling, setting up static IP and now I'm still waiting for the slowpoke.gif firmware update.

Meanwhile, my 3DS easily connected to the internet each time I changed the router settings. Oh hey, I got five StreetPasses while waiting in line at GameStop and now I finished all puzzles... except for Kirby Return to Dreamland.

Wow what a dick. Did he at least tell you it was a joke before you headed over there, or did you explain the "issue" to the Gamestop employee before being told that your Wii U was in fact there?

Well the gamepad supposedly has to be charged for just as long as the update takes, before use, so it works out (unless you have to press buttons to access the update...)

ME3 has frame rate issues on the PS3 version too. Also, the Wii-U version of ME3 is being done by an Australian company, whose main goal was to adapt the game to the Wii-U's controls. Who knows if they attempted to fix the performance?

After I explained the issue to the Gamestop employee.

But don't worry, I'll have my revenge.
