Devils arm help!!!

Ok so I don't know if this has been posted already (I did what I could to check sorry if it has been I am new haha) But anyways if I remember correctly here is what I did:

-I collected the last Devil's arm and I told Abysson and he waited in the Temple of Darkness.
-I went down to fight him a couple time and ultimately decided to come back later while I was a higher level.
-I went to the Tower of Salvation and battled Zelos and finished the rest of the tower.
-I then went through Heimdall and the Torent Forest beat Kratos and got Origin and saved the elves.
-Then I went to Dirks and got the Material Blade and the two titles for Kratos.

So after all that I decided I was gonna try to fight him again and went to the bottom of the Temple and he (Abysson) wasn't there. I thought to go to Flanoir to see if he had to be 'reactivated' but he wasn't there either. So I don't know if there is a cut off for this side quest or something but help is appreciated. :)

Is everyone in your party? That can stop sidequests from being available until you get whoever's missing back.

If he's at the point of receiving the Material Blades, yeah, he's definitely missing a character. It's kinda hard for the pre-made cutscenes to play out when a relevant character isn't present... and kinda mean to leave someone kidnapped and not rescue them. =P
