Dated, boring, slow, unoriginal, not quite good-looking, with a story best parts of which were just pieces of book (even Xenogears with it's narration pieces wasn't so embarrassing). And characters are, well, a joke. |

Jansen's voice acting was just a bunch of mumbling. I'm going to agree with Tei in that the Thousand Years of Memories was really the only thing Lost Odyssey had going for it. The battle system was boring, all of the mortals become essentially obsolete as playable characters, everything is dark and just kind of ugly, the artwork was not translated well into the character models, the music is good but inexplicably buried under background noise tracks in most towns, the story doesn't manage to be as compelling in its entirety as the five minute snippets in the dreams, several of the characters are just stupidly annoying, the character animations generally look incredibly silly, and the voice acting isn't very good. _________________
