Much like Gust & NISA do for many of their games, such as the Atelier series for one example, appealing to those that would like the option to switch between English and Japanese. The worst case scenario would be that someone wouldn't choose toggle it, but in the brighter outlook of things it could increase your sales a fair bit.
Since bluray discs are so massive in their capability of storing data, I could see it as being a very viable option for Namco to include. If any Namco reps happen to be reading this, how about showing it to your higher ups? You may get a nice promotion for such an idea. |

It'd be nice for some of us, but we don't have any guarantees whatsoever about whether we'll get it or not. Right now it's just waiting in the dark until we get some details. Also, are there any Namco reps on this forum, or at least read this forum? _________________ Avatar and signature provided by the Pascal Fan club, Ethlin and Summoner Pascal. I'd take English voicework with no cuts over a Japanese dialogue option any day. it DOES cost money to use the Japanese track, I personally think it'd be better spent on full English voice. Given their past track record, I doubt there will be a Japanese voice option.
@TSFIA2211 There were at one point, don't know if there are anymore. The localization producers used to post on here... I hope Graces' is stalking us right now. _________________ || :.YouTube | Backloggery | ToGF in 30 Sec. | ToIR Playthrough Videos.: ||

Tales of has had pretty good dubs to for the most part. So this as well. _________________

Certainly, Zelos. Vesperia's was phenomenal, IMO, and I remember seeing a vocal few whining about how there was no Japanese voice option.
At the end of the day, Namco is a business, and they want a profit. What will sell more at the end and make more people happy at the of the day: a dual voice track or full English voicework with no cuts? If past experience is anything to go by, it's English voicework. Japanese voicework isn't exactly marketable to a wide audience. _________________ || :.YouTube | Backloggery | ToGF in 30 Sec. | ToIR Playthrough Videos.: ||

I would like the option since it adds more to the re-playability. I went through Eternal Sonata twice because of that.
It's not something I really want tho since I already played it in japanese. _________________

I'm with this too. Tales of dubs are some of my favorite dubs. Also, I always play with the English dub if you can switch between the two, because I feel more immersed into the story that way. |

To be honest, I prefer the English dubs but I would switch to Japanese audio now and again just so I can hear Pascal's Engrish quotes, especially if they pull an Arc Rise Fantasia on us. Still we don't need it, it'd just be nice for some of us. _________________ Avatar and signature provided by the Pascal Fan club, Ethlin and Summoner Pascal. @ Dimentionalist: I know they won't, with their previous history with Tales, but if for some god forsaken reason their dubbing ends up in the hands with idiots like the ones in charge of ARF's one......It's just....I don't even.....
But they won't. Just want to see how epic some of the quotes are and hope the translation isn't too awkward... _________________ Avatar and signature provided by the Pascal Fan club, Ethlin and Summoner Pascal. 8-4, who did the translations since Symphonia, are translating this. I'm certain Cup of Tea, the voicework outfit behind the last few Tales games and a number of other Namco titles, will be behind this one, as well. _________________ || :.YouTube | Backloggery | ToGF in 30 Sec. | ToIR Playthrough Videos.: || |
