good lord it will be a miracle if she manages to meet the obscene expectations she and her team have set. the album will probably be solid but i can't help but feel it is being beyond overhyped. not to mention, if it's the album of the decade, what about anything else she releases in the next ten years.

Calling Lady Gaga the height of artistic expression is an insult to real artistic expression, especially when she makes the biggest **** deal out of being so edgy and her lyrics are no more 'edgy' than anything Madonna ever did, never mind anything from real girl punks like Patti Smith. I have no problem with her music itself, it's perfectly catchy and fun to listen to, but her whole take on being 'famous' and fame's place in American society is just a regurgitation of Andy Warhol. MIA was doing the same thing before her but without as much of the obnoxiousness

I think she's good at conveying messages through songs, but when it comes to expressing them lyrically she's not so good at it. Sometimes her lyrics are really good, but these ones could have been so much better.
I like the first verse, though.
