A miracle!

I was fighting Solon and Dark Jay; they massacred Chloe (who I was controlling) and Senel pretty quickly and so I decided that I would just let Grune and Norma die, and try again with a different party. I was sitting around waiting for them, and while the enemies were wailing on Grune, Norma somehow managed to revive everyone. I went into Climax mode and spammed resurrection, and somehow went on to win the fight.

Now just Grune quest left...

Wow, having two mages in your party is brave.

How so? That's my usual set-up for Tales games (two mages and two attackers). And it's considerably less dangerous in games that have a 2D plane.

Lol, in the crystal forest the first time I did the same sort of thing but only Will survived. It was right near the beginning and his AI went on to solo practically the entire dungeon.

That battle is pretty rough with two mages because there are two different enemies that run all over the board and can be hard to contain with only 2 guys. My intent was to lose and try the battle again with a Jay/Senel/Chloe/Norma party.

It is pretty dangerous to go against Dark Jay with two mage types ALONE. If Dark Jay attacked one and Solon went after the other, there'd probably be no chance, since Norma's attack is pretty slow when she's not casting. Grune might be able to fend off her opponent until they give up and run to the next person, but Grune can't revive anyone, which is the problem.

I just love luck in situations like these. *.*

haha I use that strategy sometimes too! (Climaxing + resurrecting everybody) I just beat Solon & Dark Jay again in Jay's quest but I used an all girl party so I tried three mages Smile It was the first time I completely destroyed them, I was really impressed. I had Shirley/Norma blizzard (I was controlling Norma) and I revived with Norma when needed,Chloe distracted them single handedly, and Grune casted Maelstrom. Usually I have a lot of trouble with this fight but it was like a breeze this time..

It gets easier once you're used to fighting styles of enemies. Lots of fights used to take a while on my first try, but now everything seems so easy because I'm used to it. I'm actually about to fight Giet and Dark Moses yet again. I worry more about fighting Giet than anyone else in this game, I swear. xD With Moses running around all over the place, I've got to worry about Giet's magic. It seems like Moses always end up dealing with... well... Moses, while I protect him from Giet. It's up to Will and Senel to do whatever the hell they feel like doing. ^^; I find that it's usually Will helping me out while Senel fights with Moses. I don't know why exactly, but my games always seem to end up that way. I'll have to check my strategy or something and see if that's what's causing it, but I don't think it is. Whenever I fought Dark Jay, I had Will backing me up, and when I turned the fight to Solon, I still somehow had Will backing me up. It always seems like Senel and Moses go for whoever I'm not. ^^; Ah, well. It always works out in the end. I geuss that's why I love Legendia's computers so much. They have amazing artificial intelligence. ;_; ...Although, the way my battles turn out as I've described kind of scares me sometimes. 8D;

That is so true, it gets easier after you're used to it...But for me some fights were always a challenge with my usual team, but it seems like when I put Chloe in the team no one has a chance against her ahaha. Aah yeah Moses & Giet were tough too! I would interrupt magic a lot with climax. It sounds like you have everybody set that way ahah But I'm not sure because for me it seems like Jay and Moses seem to like fighting the same enemy even if Jay is supposed to target what I target. It's like he loses interest and runs away for a while and comes back sometimes ahaha

I interrupt powerful attacks with Climax Combos all the time. ^^;

That happens to me sometimes. Jay and Moses seem to fight the same enemy if I have a female in the party. When I lose Will from my party during his CQ, I have Norma to take his place, and then Norma winds up supporting Senel. I use either Senel or Jay, so Norma and Moses apparently have their own agendas. xD;

I just fought Dark Jay today (again... >3>; ). Once again, I had Will backing me up while Senel and Moses ran around together... ^^; Of course, I really DO need Will's backup by that point in the game, because I just about always use Jay when he's in the party, and I equip him with the Extreme Symbol. This time was worse, because I used that AND the Demon's Seal. I only died once, but that was because I got turned into a punching bag between Solon and Dark Jay and Senel was literally just standing there watching until I died. THEN he decided to fight. >.>; I had to have Moses use a Life Bottle on me. >3>;

Surely you could have forced Senel to fight via the eres menu?

I could've, but it probably wouldn't have helped. I was in the middle, while he was to the right, and we were near the end of the battlefield. Even if he attacked one of them, the other would still be attacking me.
