Name: Gauge Cavalier

Nickname: Red Death

Gender: Male

Age: 42

Race: Human

Birthplace: Farms, near Ralam

General Description: Gauge is an outlandish figure, standing tall with a sleek, acrobat's build. Extraordinarily, he appears a little younger than he actually is, he has black hair and black eyes, and is often unshaven. He is most recognizable for his strikingly red outfit, composed of a crimson red hat, mantle, kilt, gloves, and boots, overlapping a neutral gray tunic and trousers.

Elements: Fire and Metal

Weapons: Carries a single-barreled, break action shotgun with a shortened barrel. It is easy to modify and repair, not to mention lightweight. Gauge also carries a strange broadsword of unusual design on his hip, but rarely uses it.

Attacks: Gauge has a single special ability which primarily affects his level of sight. He can see farther and in darker light with the use of his strange abilities, and when in deepest focus, can even think and perceive on a level many times faster than normal, in essence, making it seem like time is slowing down. However, this ability does not afford him the ability to move any quicker than he already can, it only improves reaction time and boosts his accuracy to inhuman levels. When his ability is in use, his eyes glow red, and strange, crosshair-shaped symbols appear in the center of his pupils.

Personality: Outgoing, friendly, and very naive. Gauge is an optimist at heart with a natural tendency to make friendly bonds with others quickly. Despite having a reverence and respect for life and the rights of others, he doesn't bind himself by moral code and will not have second thoughts about killing if it is for the right reason.

History: A vagabond who has wandered far and wide, from nation to nation, serving as a freelance bounty hunter, enforcer, and keeper of the peace. His origins began long ago when, struggling to care for his poor, destitute family on a farm failing because of a drought, was hired by an odd researcher by the name of Dr. Oakley. Dr. Oakley would soon reveal the true abilities and powers Gauge had within himself, and became more of a mentor than an employee to him over time.

Dr. Oakley would one day vanish, leaving behind his entire inheritance and marking the first journey that Gauge ever undertook. He would eventually solve the mystery of Dr. Oakley's disappearance, and make amends with the man who murdered him, a man by the name of Raufoss, who is still alive today, or so Gauge claims. Gauge's whimsical stories seem to be nothing more than tall tales either meant to entertain or make him seem to be a more seasoned man of the world than he might actually be. Some do find his odd stories of adventure to be believable, and eagerly await the days when he pays a visit to their town to let loose yet another story of his travels.

Gauge currently is travelling to Ralam, on hearing of a legend of the Evenos Crystals, deciding to investigate it for himself.

Explanation of Charter magic that hits the main points:

First of all, credit for the idea must be given to Garth Nix and his Old Kingdom series, where the original Charter magic came from. It will likely have a different name here, but for now it will still be called Charter magic.

-It focuses around drawing Charter marks (which channel magic), either literally or mentally. Examples of ways to "draw" marks include drawing them in the air, on an object (will give the object a temporary power, unless using Stellium), visualizing, speaking their names, or whistling them.
-It's faster and can be used for a much wider array of uses than Tales magic. It also is less taxing than Tales magic.
-It's much weaker than Tales magic unless you use master marks to add structure. Even then, master mark spells are usually somewhat less powerful than Tales magic. Charter magic is also not as visually impressive.
-You must be very experienced and skilled with Charter magic to use master marks without the adverse effects (burning your voice out, severe, long-lasting fatigue, losing control and having the spell backfire).
-Tales magic can be used by a wider array of mages than master marks.

In a way, the Tales magic system is a refined form of Charter magic, with the marks preset into (relatively) easy-to-use magical formulas that can be summoned with an incantation. This pre-structuring gives the magic extra strength (and flashiness). Charter magic is less structured and therefore less powerful.
Think of it this way- while Tales magic are fixed, pre-made, eloquent sentences, Charter magic is a bunch of words that can be rearranged to make an infinite variety of crude but clear sentences.

Name: Ubel Machitehew

Nickname: The Silent Reaper

Age: Unknown (Appears to be around 25)

Race: Spectra (But goes by Padran)

Birthplace: Unknown

General Description: Ubel's hair is a very dark purple in colour and his eyes have a dark red tint to them. He is a height of 6'2, and his hair is long enough to reach down near his waist. His skin colour is very pale, very close to white. His eyes are also very sly and with dark bags under his eyes as though he has was lacking a lot of sleep. He wears black leather pants with a turding brown belt arond his waist. He wears a black shirt with a black trench coat that goes past his knees. Over his chest is a strap that holds his great sword on his back.

Elements: Darkness and Lightning

Weapon: Great Sword

Attacks: Will be added later.

Personality: Ubel is psychotic. He loves the sight of blood and the sound of pain. He has no emotions and does not care nor give any mercy to others.

Brief Personal Details/History: Not much is known of Ubel, but there are a lot of rumors about The Silent Reaper. They say he comes from Andrir because of the dragon he controls, and that he appeared out of nowhere one hundred years ago causing pain and destruction across the land with no reason behind it except for his own person amusement.

He wasn't always known as 'The Silent Reaper', he was once known as 'Murderous Thunder'. His iconic name changed because of his reappearance after disappearing for about thirty years after seventy years of destruction. The Silent Reaper name comes from killing in silence of people in very high places among other random people which is rumored to be his kills for 'fun'.

The truth behind the truths of this figure Ubel Machitehew is that he is not of Andrir at all but is the last of the ancient civilization of Talaria and knows a lot of the secrets of it. He is an immortal, but he is not unkillable he can be wounded and killed. No one knows of this past except for himself and he calls him one of the most mightiest Padran's because he doesn't like to flaunt that he is the last of the Talarian's. Ebel found Duhast as an egg abandoned in a long forgotten cave long ago and the egg just happened to choose him at that point in time.
The most recent rumor is that he is indeed working with the Prince of Darkness.

Dragon's Bio:

Name: Duhast

Gender: Male

Race: Dragon

Birthplace: Unknown

General Description: Duhast is long and serpent like in shape type of dragon, is a dark purple colour and bright blue streaks down its long body. He has two large wings about a quarter down its body with two arms and claws under them, further down its body near his tail is two more arms and claws.

Human form he is almost identical to Ubel like a long lost twin, but with sort dark purple hair with light blue streaks in his hair. Duhast wears jet black armor with baggy black pants and his two black demonic wings sticking out his back.

Element: Lighting/Thunder

Attacks: Duhast in his dragon form is a destroyer, when he roars everything infront of him is annihilated because it is so low in frequency everything crumbles and is thunder based.

In his human form his finger nails are claws and he uses twin blades, his lightning abilities can zap people through his blades and give him great agility like a ninja.

Personality: Duhast is in a lot of ways has the same personality as Ubel, cold hearted, cruel, and with no mercy. He loves to feed on the innocent for food, and the destruction makes him thrilled. He has no heart for any kind except for his Ubel.

Brief Personal Details/History: Duhast as an egg was abandoned by his mother because his egg was the smallest among the batch. He sensed this and did not hatch from his egg and laid dorment on the land for centuries which turned into a cavern over him over time. Eventually a young man he sensed found him and he choose him to be his master hoping to find a great partner.

Duhast became quite attached to his master and he felt like they were both the same, both were a lone and the last of their kind. Duhast was the last of the serpent dragons and Ubel the last of the Talarians. He helped Ubel in the destruction of many things and over time adapted the cold heart of Ubel, becoming more of the same person that he was if not identical.

Nickname: The Phantom Kaitou

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Race: Human

Birthplace: Ralam

General Description: Kaitou has medium length brown hair and matching brown eyes. He wears baggy blue jeans that are torn in parts and a white t-shirt with a sleak black jacket and sunglasses. Kaitou is infamous for his very good looks and is popular among all women and can usually get any women he wants without even trying. He is 6'1 in height and on his hands are fingerless black gloves.

Element: Fire

Weapon: Long Sword

Attacks: Will be added later.

Personality: Kaitou is a flirty, handsome, infamous theif of both wealthy
items and of womens hearts. He is rather full of himself and isn't afraid of anything, not even the Prince of Darkness. He longs to steal some of the most priceless things in the world, and become the most wealthiest person in the world and keep it all to himself.

Brief Personal Details/History: Kaitou was born in Ralam but his parents died in a horrific accident making him orphaned, when he was ten he ran away from the orphanage and fled to the mountains where he was adopted by a middle aged man who taught him the ways of fire magic and of the sword. He was a very good teacher and father figure by the time the boy was thirteen he took the name Kaitou for himself and left with his nearly perfected skills to become a thief.

Over the years he stole many things and made a name for himself as the Mischievous Phantom Thief Kaitou, no one has ever seen what he looks like but they know he exists because of the things he gets away with. He has stolen from the most littlest things of apples to big things like ancient relics, the authorities still hunt for him but still don't know who or what they are looking for.



Name: Shaya Kappa

Nickname: Princess of the Water

Age: 19

Race: Aquada

General Description: Shaya has long silver hair that goes past her waist and her eyes an emerald green that are very soft to look into. She is known to be Micla's prized jewel because not only is she the towns princess, but she is also the most beautiful creature in existence as it is told. She moves very gracefully and she wears a pure white gown and a jewel circlet around her head that is a light purple in shade. Her skin is light blue and she stands 5'5 in height.

Element: Water

Weapon: She carries a staff that is enchanted to help her with her healing magic.

Attacks: Shaya isn't a fighter but she has knows some of the most complicated and powerful healing magic in existence.

Personality: Shaya is a very kind, shy girl who loves to help and aid people in pain. She has never encountered any selfish or evil people in her time and doesn't exactly know what that means. Her dream is to explore the mainland and know the wonders of the other races that her parents have tried to hard to shelter her from.

Breif Personal Details/History: Ever since she was a young girl she has always wanted to go to the surface and explore, but her strict parents wouldnt let her leave her underwater palace home in fear she would be hurt from the violent world above. Feeling sad and trapped in her inescapable fate to be the next leader of her city Shaya lived in depression and sadness for many years.

Though even if she was in deep depression, this did not make her any less of the beautiful, kind princess she was at heart and would help anyone that needed her assistance. By the time she was eighteen her parents had told her when she reached the age of twenty-one she will be married to the man they have chosen out for her and she will become the next queen of Micla.

Shaya in fear of never being able to live out her dream ran away in the darkest of night, when the water was just as dark above water and went to the small island to seek people from the mainland to take her. She wore robes to cover her pure white dress and face so they would not know who she is, she found someone that night and paid them a lot of money to take her away that night.

She has only recently reached mainland.

I'm here, sorry, didn't expect to be doing the important terms section so soon. First of all, the best things to put in the section are definitely any unique terms and idealogies exclusive to this RP (like if for some odd reason magic is strictly referred to by some other term in this RP). If there is a major religion in the RP, this might be a good thing to put in. Any highly important buildings or organizations must be specified. It would also be good to define the Evenos Crystals, unless you want that to be a surprise we find out in the RP; give us how many crystals there are, what they look like, how big they are. I'll come up with more in a moment...
