Oh! Alright, I'll go check.

Replied~

I'll be adding some of the things that I explained to Akashic to the first post.

EDIT:

@Akashic: If you maybe want to make a Padran for the PoD, you would have to talk to Archer, since he is making the PoD Very Happy

Here's the two returning characters, Seti and Dr. Leone. I scrapped Marshall to make room for another character. Expect two more bios in the future.

Name: Gleise Jahreiss

Nickname: Seti

Gender: Male

Age: 35

Race: Human

Birthplace: Wilderness

General Description: A man with olive skin tone, of average height, and a streamlined build. He has jet-black hair with dark, sunken eyes of the same color. However, his facial features, let alone any aspect of his body, have never been seen because of his manner of dress. He wears flowing, black cloth over the entirety of his body, even covering his entire face; not even his eyes can be seen through the cloth. This strange, loose-fitting cloth is secured in place with a number of black belts; in addition, there are extra pieces of cloth attached to his body which mostly serve the purpose of cmaking his movements confusing and difficult to track; if they become a hindrance in heated battle, he can tear them off easily as they are designed to be able to be torn away in the event someone tries to grab him. The inside of the dark shroud he wears has several white spots embroidered into it, but normally his shroud is kept closed so these little star-like spots can rarely be seen.

Elements: Light and Fire

Weapons: Seti carries a bolt-action speargun, which is nothing more than a glorified, compact crossbow operated by a complicated loading system. With it, Seti carries several large magazines which can store up to 12 arrows each. As a backup weapon in the event his speargun is not available, he also carries a saber which has a hollow channel that can link up to his special arrows to produce various effects.

Attacks: Seti's primary method of attack involves using special arrows which seem to mimic magic, developed for him by Dr. Leone. Currently, there is only one special arrow in Seti's arsenal.
Starlight - A special arrow used by Seti, they have higher destructive capabilities than normal arrows, and glow for a long while even after being shot. This can be used in a bind to illuminate dark areas or start fires. When linked to his saber, it glows and has higher cutting power than normal, as well as the added benefit of potentially setting fire to or incinerating objects the blade cuts through.

Personality: Evasive, seclusive, and quiet; he rarely speaks unless spoken to, and appears to trust very few people. His motives are unknown, and it isn't clear if he has any moral values; but seeing that he will kill without a second thought, it's likely that he doesn't care.

History: The man known as Seti is a seclusive being, little of which is actually known, even his true name, Gleise Jahreiss, is known by only one man alive today. Seti was born and has lived in the shadows away from society, and it is likely to remain that way for the rest of his days. He constantly changes locations, making tracking him down exceptionally difficult, and with so few contacts, those interested in finding him, namely, law enforcement, find it difficult to even locate someone who could point out where he will show up next.

Although much of what is known about Seti is not always founded in fact; what is certain is that Seti has killed, numerous times, leaving his trademark star sign near any of his victims. Those who have met an end at his hand range from the lowest scum of society such as murderers, even to the upper reaches of the highest classes such as governors. The most common theory is that Seti is a murderer for hire, but to this day, no one has been accounted for finding and hiring Seti to perform any sort of assasination.

The one man Gleise appears to trust is Dr. Leone Joule, an accomplice of his who apparently shares whatever secrets he posseses and regularly assists him in his endeavors, whatever they might be.

Name: Dr. Leone Joule

Nickname: None

Gender: Male

Age: 45

Race: Human

Birthplace: Kladir

General Description: A pale-skinned man with thinning, brown-gray hair and fading, hazel eyes; he is a little shorter than most, but is actually well built; he oes look a little well-aged, bearing the typical signs of one getting older, such as wrinkles and spots, but otherwise remains clean-shaven. His clothing typically depends upon the environment he is in. In the classroom setting, Dr. Joule is seen in a black suit with a white shirt and black cravat, completing the look with black dress shoes. More often, he is seen in slacks and a jacket with long-sleeved shirt with brown shoes. When working with hazardous materials, wears a specially made yellow and black suit that is most comparable to a modern haz-mat suit, albeit reinforced with metal armor plate and lacking an oxygen supply tube.

Elements: None, but he creates devices which mimic elements

Weapons: None of his own, but he is perfectly capable of making them for others, or even repairing broken ones. In an emergency, he may use one of the tools he normally uses for work as an improvised weapon.

Attacks: None.

Personality: Nervous, paranoid, but highly intelligent, Dr. Leone has a good heart and very noble intents, but those who get to know him may sense he has something to hide. He is genuinely concerned for others and will go out of his way to help them. He has moral standards, but often prefers to defer to others and will usually follow them without question if he is trusting of them otherwise.

History: Leone was born to Dr. Gallei Joule and his wife, Gloria, in the elven village of Kladir. Although he was constantly surrounded by magic and mysticism for much of his youth, he instead chose to follow in his father's footsteps and become a man of science. However, his youth with the elves did have an impact on him, and for much of his adult career, would try to find a way to blend together the best of science and mysticism. He found little success in his early life, and nearly gave up upon the passing of his father.

Leone would eventually move away and make his new home in Ralam, having accepted a job as an instructor of physics and mathematics at the academy. For the most part, his dream was forgotten, up until one fateful night during a meteor shower. One of the many falling stars would strike the earth outside the city, and he was one of the fortunate few of the academy sent to retrieve and study the fallen meteorite. They would succeed, retrieving a small piece of meteoric iron about the size of one's fist. The magnificent gift also harbored a secret which once again sparked the Doctor's dream to life once more, a miracle metal which he called "Stellium", that was a suitable substance for channeling magic, the missing piece in all of his research.

It was about this time that Dr. Leone also made first contact with the strange, fearsome entity known only as Seti. What happened between the two is a mystery, but now, Dr. Leone serves secretly as his aide, providing supplies and information to him as he needs it. Why isn't certain to anyone but the two men.

Pretty sure I do not even have to check them. :]

You're all set Psychon! I'll be looking forward to the other two bios.

Padran character is going to be for Crystal, just letting everyone know since I've told HotFire already. =)

How do we know which character is protagonist or antagonist? Or are we not suppose to know?

Oh right. You can post that in your bios as well if you want. Or you can leave it for when we start the RP, and just describe them as an antagonistic or protagonist.

@Akashic: You have been added to the first post~

every character so far has been human .-. c'mon people, expand your minds a bit. Thank goodness the PoD won't be human... (PoD is coming along nicely, btw. I thought of some really cool ideas. Hopefully I can post the finished product by tomorrow, or sunday)

I agree with Archer...

I mean, Akashic and SH have taken Padrans as well, but still...

I might make a new character and have it be a dwarf or something.

If only we could get Azer back. He had some good characters (If I remember right, he had a Padran, an Elf, and a Zaba) And if GM came back (which so politely declined), we would have another Elf and an Aquada.

Not that there is anything wrong with humans lol

Okay, I'll get the last bio in tomorrow, expect a pm concerning him before tomorrow night. For now, I'd like you to see if it's okay to use this guy.

Name: Serhat Shahrivar

Nickname: Ironclad Demon

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Race: Human

Birthplace: Desert Region

General Description: Serhat is a small, frail-looking man with a light tan, dark hair and oceanic blue eyes. He is otherwise normal looking, except for the metallic growth on his right hand which covers most of his palm. He normally wears many layers of loose, white clothing secured by sashes, along with sandals lashed to his feet by a number of leather straps; Serhat takes great care to keep his right hand hidden from view by keeping gauze wrapped around it and pretending it is an injury.

Element: Metal

Weapons: None, but he can create them in an instant as long as he has enough stamina; created weapons range from offensive weapons like blades or throwing weapons, to defensive equipment like shields or even armor.

Attacks: All attacks revolve around his metallokinetic abilities; each also requires some of his vitality to use. Overuse of his abilities can cause him to pass out or faint.
Generation - Creates metals with variable properties from his body. This metal can be freely shaped and changed through other abilities. Requires an average amount of stamina to use.
Absorption - Can absorb metals in the environment to restore strength lost through use of the other abilities. The ability can also allow Serhat to go without eating if he consumes metal instead of food. This is the only ability Serhat has that will actually give back vitality instead of losing it.
Perception - Can sense the world around him through any metal near him. He can feel, hear, see, or smell by using a piece of metal as a external sensory organ. This ability also allows him to immediately recognize the properties of a piece of metal in his vicinity. Doesn't use much of his strength to utilize.
Restoration - Can heal his injuries by essentially replacing lost or damaged tissue with metal. Grievous injuries that require more metal to heal will take more of Serhat's stamina and can essentially render himself unconscious and vulnerable if he tries to heal too large a wound while in a fight.
Manipulation - Can move, shape, or otherwise alter the physical properties of metal objects in the vicinity. Requires more energy if the object is farther away, larger, or if there is more than one object.
Alteration - Can change chemical properties of metal objects in the vicinity, such as removing or adding rust, purifying ores or alloys, or changing one metal into other metals. This ability is rarely used in combat, and requires a little more energy to use than manipulation.
Creation - Can spontaneously create any metallic substance anywhere he chooses, but requires much more vitality than the Generation ability.
Destruction - The most powerful ability Serhat possesses. Can completely erase any metallic substance in the vicinity that the ability is directed towards. Requires an immense amount of energy to perform this ability even once.

Personality: A quiet, lonesome individual with some anxieties; he is somewhat of a pessimist, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to be helpful to those who might need it. He is very self-critical, and will quickly come down on himself for the littlest mistakes, or even blaming himself for things beyond his own control; all in all, he even believes he is a monster, or at least, someday will turn into one.

History: One of several humans who lived in a nameless oasis community out in the desert regions of the world, Serhat was a happy young man witha promising future amongst the little community who was trying to reach out and trade with other nations, in turn, trying to earn a name for itself. Serhat was a remarkable metalworker, who seemed to have a remarkable, inexplicable gift with all things metal; he could create fine jewelry, or even build a great, iron fence, all was within his capacity.

His world would come crashing down on him one day when he accidentally slit his hand on a piece of iron while forging a knife to be exported and sold in Ralam; he at first thought nothing of the little cut and merely cleaned and dressed the cut, going to sleep that night as if all was normal. He awakened to find that in the night, rather than a still healing sore where his hand had been sliced open, he found a strange metal spot. Panicking, he tried to remove the metal growth by painfully taking his hand to a metal file, grinding it off but also taking some of his skin with it. He again dressed the wound and desperately tried to forget about it.

The morning after, he would find where there once was a wound, gleaming, silvery metal replaced his cuts. He tried to hide his wound, but it was as if it refused to remain hidden. Metal began to react strangely to his presence, coming to life and moving about in unearthly ways. The local villagers would discover the strange phenomenon, and in turn, the metal scar upon his right palm, and became entirely convinced he was some sort of demon.

Serhat was exiled, chased out of the village and forced to live on his own out in the wilderness. He headed to the closest hint of civilization, to Ralam, in hopes he could find an answer to his strange condition.

Oh. Psychon, your character reminds me that I have to describe how Balaria was in the desert (I think that's how it was...?)

Your the only person who could maybe confirm that, unless I go digging through the old thread.

God, your bios are always so in depth and amazing Sad

But everything looks good. I'll add this one to your characters.

And I'll keep a look out for that PM.

EDIT:

I'm pretty sure we had Balaria in the desert, so I edited the description of Balaria. I also have been editing things here and there; mainly just adding to the descriptions.

@SH: I added your other character to the first page~

@Everyone: When do you think would be a good time to kick this off? (In other words, start it.)

In my opinion, I think we need more people to sign up. Probably wait it out a couple days?

Name: Avan Galadriel
Nickname: None (but let’s Crystal call him whatever she wants)
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Race: Padran
Birthplace: Andrir

(Appearance Pic)
General Description: Avan has slightly pale pinkish skin tone and stands at a height of 6’ 0” tall with a muscular build. He once had piercing golden-yellow eyes, though now they are clouded due to his blindness after an incident in his past, and he has short maroon colored hair that is hangs just below his ears. His bangs are slightly longer and at times can seen covering his face, except he mostly wears an armored headband/headgear to keep them out of his face. He also wears dragon-spike ornaments behind his ears. As a symbol that seals his and his dragon’s bond, there is a white marking, shaped in a sort of feather, at the back of his neck.

His attire (when he is not engaging in any battles or out escorting Crystal publicly) usually consists of dark, loose sleeveless shirts, long baggy pants, and boots. He wears dark colored leather gloves that nearly reaches up to his elbows and has several bangles wrapped over his forearm above the gloves. He has several belts over his waist and across his chest from his shoulders where he would normally keep his broadsword. Though, once Avan is to be prepared for battle, he wears plated armor made from dragon scales that is various shades of blue and teal. He also replaces the headgear with an armored helmet that is in the shape of a dragon’s head, which his face is revealed underneath the dragon’s mouth.

Elements: Wind

Weapon(s): A large broadsword. The blade itself was carved from a massive fang of a dragon and the handle of the sword is wrapped tightly with bandages. On top of the handle rests an ornament of a dragon’s head with ruby jeweled eyes. Avan mainly uses this weapon for both offense and defense. He can use wind-base spells, though he normally has to form a connection with Selendra in order to do so.

Attacks: Mostly a combination of physical/normal attacks, though they are combined with wind-based attributes. (And to name a couple of skills he could use if you were to categorize them as “artes”)
-Severing Wind: Swings broadsword in a horizontal arch as blades of wind surrounds the user, dealing damage to any opponents from all sides before the user swipes vertically with their blade at the target in front of them up in the air. It has wind-base properties.
-Void Sword: The user slashes with their sword rapidly in all directions, creating a rush of strikes with such speed that wind accompanies each slash to deal additional damage.
(All I could think of for now… it may increase as the RP develops)

Personality: Avan is normally seen strict and well-mannered when he is out in public or in formal gatherings. He usually keeps a firm expression over his face when he is around others to intimidate or show his seriousness, and rarely trusts others until he gets to know them. When he is out in public with Crystal, he can often behave like a demanding older sibling and tends to constantly worry about her if someone were to get too close to her. However, underneath all this seriousness displayed in Avan, he tends to show another side when he is alone with his dragon or around Crystal. All the strictness seems to melt away and he can seen more at ease and open—often expressing whatever comes into mind, despite it being lecherous at times.

Brief Personal Details/History: Avan was born into a strict and traditional family of Padran warriors, who sworn to protect their city of Andrir from danger. His father was one of the strongest warriors in the city, so he and his elder brother were expected to follow in his footsteps, while his two younger sisters were to follow in their mothers in becoming healers. At an early age, Avan was taught the mannerism and was to follow the strict training that his father put him through, along with his brother. He had little time to play and enjoy his childhood like the rest of the children of Andrir, and he wondered if he was an unfortunate one to have been born into this strict family. He wanted to be like the rest of the children, but in the end, he endured the hardship of his father’s training to become a knight. At the age of five, he was presented with a dragon egg, and like the other children attending the ritual, his egg shined brightly the color of the sky as he heard the soothing voice of the dragon hatchling inside. Even after obtaining the egg, he could feel the bond with his dragon already growing and all the doubts that he had about his family started to fade away, feeling as if he now understood why his father put him through such hardships. When his dragon finally hatched, he continued training with his father and brother; though this time he had his dragon with him.

By the time Avan was in his early teens, he decided to leave Andrir to see the world, despite his family’s protest. They wanted him to remain in the city in order to protect it, but Avan felt like there was something more that he wanted to protect than just his hometown. Unable to confine him and his dragon, Avan and Selendra ventured off into the world. Several months passed of aimlessly traveling, they flew over the capital city of Ralam, and upon their arrival they soon noticed a commotion occurring just a few kilometers outside of the city. Several bands of brigands were attacking a guarded coach that was returning to the city. Jumping down from his dragon’s back, Avan rushed to aid the knights fighting off the bandits with only his broadsword which he wielded skillfully, despite his young age as Sel watched guardedly from above in case the tables would turn against her partner. When the battle was over, that was when Avan discovered the passengers in the coach were the royal family of Tohiksna and acknowledging his performance, they requested Avan to be the guardian of their daughter. At that time, Crystal was only several months old. When he saw her, he immediately accepted their request, feeling like he had finally found what he wanted to protect. So, as time went on Avan never left Crystal’s side, always being protective of her like he would of his own younger sisters back in Andrir.

However, in an incident when he was attacked by rogues when he was twenty, he became injured and it rendered him blind in the end as Selendra was barely able to make in time to rescue him. Now unable to see, he has to rely on Selendra as his eyes. If he is able to physically touch her or make a strong mental connection with her (which lasts only a limited amount of time and drains his energy), he can see out of the dragon’s eyes (his own pupils become vertical slits when he does this), but other than that, he has to rely on Sel to communicate with him or feels and listens to disturbances in the wind.

Dragon Bio:

Name: Selendra
Nickname: Sel
Gender: Female
Race: Dragon
Birthplace: Andrir

(Appearance Pic)
General Description: Selendra, on all fours, is tall enough for at most four or five fully grown adults to ride her, and is adorned in shimmering azure and white scales. Her scales are a form of armor as well, as they protrude from her forearms and at the base of her neck (shell-like) and tail. She has long wing-shaped ears and a golden spiral horn protruding from her forehead. She has blue, crystalline horns curving downward beneath her ears and spikes trailing down her neck to the armored shell over her shoulders. She has four sets of wings, which allows her to fly gracefully and swiftly in the air.

In her human form, she takes the form of a slender woman around Avan’s age, standing about 5' 8" in height. She has pale, almost white skin tone and wears a simple, white dress adorned in blue and white feathers. Her long, azure hair splits down the middle as it trails as low along her back and her eyes are a lighter hue of blue.

Elements: Wind

Weapon(s): Selendra mainly uses her claws, teeth, and the horn on her forehead to deal damage physically, though she often manipulates the wind when attacking as well. In her human form, she can extend her nails into claws and attack with Charter spells as well.

Attacks: Wind spells

Personality: She is almost as strict as her partner, but is more relaxed than Avan when she is out in public, especially when she is with Crystal. She is very caring and understanding to those around her, and is extremely loyal to Avan. However, she often puts her partner in place if he tends to be too abrasive or demanding of Crystal, acting as an older sibling to both of them at times, and is known to occasionally tease Avan as well.

Brief Personal Details/History: Even as an egg, Selendra was waiting for the right person to choose her. She waited and waited, declining every Padran who were to stop upon her egg, until Avan arrived. Immediately she could feel that he was the right rider for her and called out to him, making the bond with him until she was able to hatch from her egg. She knew that she gave the boy hope and strength and she could feel that he was doing the same for her as they continued through the years training until they became protectors of their home.

When Avan decided to venture out in the world, Selendra didn’t object at all and had flown him all around Talaria as he pleased. When they had that fateful encounter with the royal family in Ralam, Selendra finally understood why Avan wanted to leave his hometown to protect the infant princess as she felt his purpose in life being fulfilled. When Avan lost his eyesight in an incident, Selendra completely devotes herself to be his eyes and through physical or mental (which can drain their energy) contact, she can allow him to see through her own eyes.

~~~~~
God, this took sooooo long to do. >.< *headaches* Sel's history is basically the same as Avan's, that's why it's short.
*shuffles in*
Well I haven't been in a RP for a while and my skills have gotten a little dusty, so I'll be hoping to join this with two characters or so. I have a Zabas and a Padran in mind so I'll get writing out bios for them if it's okay for me to join.
