I thought I'd use a character that I quite liked from an RP that never took off. I tweaked it to suit the RP, hope you like it.


Basic character info

Real Name: Hanaiko Sabura.
Alias/nickname: None.
Gender: Male.
Age: 27.
Race: Human.
Birthplace: Zanark.
Side (Neutral, evil, good): Good.

Physical Description

Eye colour: Brown.
Hair colour: Light Brown.

Clothing/Other Physical information: He wears glasses and a light green t-shirt. With that he has a light brown jacket that keeps him warm and some light brown trousers that are lightweight for him to be able to move more easily and move faster. His shoes, similar to his trousers, they are light brown and make him faster. On his face there are many freckles and his hair is medium length.

Weaponry: Two long knives.

Personality: A kind fellow, who is easily liked and is fun to be around. Although from time to time he can be a bit naughty and mischievous than his normal fun personality. Part of him still feels the pain of his parents’ ‘unfortunate events’, so when he thinks of them he may breakdown into tears and get distraught and upset.

Brief Personal Details/History: When he was young, his parents had been in debt so much that they started borrowing gald from loan sharks. After a visit from the loan sharks, after they couldn't pay the gald back in time, they were put in hospital with broken backs and broken spines. They were basically dead, no movement, no speech and no interaction. So Hanaiko, at the age of 17, he decided to let them go since they were in so much pain. At the age of 21, he passed some medical exams at Zanark’s college (Does Zanark have a colloge? If not can I add one? if thats all right with you GM) and decided to open a chemists in the square, where he treats people’s injuries and illness.

Personality: Mischievous and highly overconfident in himself, though he refrains himself from showing off too often and enjoys lightening the mood with his satirical humor. Having virtually no perception over danger, he has the headstrong propensity to get into trouble. Though very knowledgable, he is surprisingly very dense when confronting verbal situations and has a horrible sense of direction which derives from his short-term memory loss. Osmion is very easygoing and rarely shows any humilation or standards.

Brief Personal Details/History:

A curious nomad who travels across the world aimlessly as a top-gun freelancer and a renowned bounty hunter. He bears the enigmatic name of Chopin, a name often shared by powerful legends - and Osmion most certainly lives up to the name.

When the souls of two legendary heroes of ancient times had been combined into a single entity, Osmion's body was created for the purpose of creating the ultimate fighter to eliminate titanic threats. With the fusion of two mighty spirits binding Osmion's body together, his physical attributes were considered perfect by human standards and seen as a fierce brute by other species. Unfortunately the two souls both carried juvenile personalities and inheriting all characteristics from both spirits had inadvertently developed an unstabled ego for Osmion, almost psychotic. This left him a person virtually impossible to control. But true to the two souls, he had never commenced any malicious acts and only sought to become stronger in his righteous path of justice.

Though not entirely a superficial hero as one would assume, Osmion travels across the world collecting bounties for his only source of enlighenment as well as income.

Clothing: When Jun is out of his suit, his casual clothes typically consist of collared t-shirts and dress pants.
Weaponry: Junko's attributes are all enhanced by his biosuit's energized core which is firmly attached to his nerval systems and muscle tissues, supplying him enough power to move and react within a heavy suit. This not only allows Junko to move quickly but capable of superhuman strength in spite of his suit's weight, which under normal circumstances would be impossible to mobilize. Junko's suit specializes in emitting powerful resonant pulse rays that enables both sonic speed flight and the ability to fire powered energy projectiles that can punch a hole through metallic walls. The suit is composed out of material capable of absorbing virtually all types of energy and highly durable. The suit is capable of moving at the speed of electricity and can enter an intangible phase. The Machine Man's ultimate weapon is the devastating Volteccer, a powerful instaneous beam of pure energy that can potentially rip open a hole through space and time. The drawback is its dangerous consumption, as it comes straight from Jun's core.

Personality: Generally calm though he is easily distressed from boredom. He is especially impatient when it comes to queues. He is a womanizer, though he does have the lecherous propensity to hit on "anything". Notable for being an extreme atheist. As Machine Man, he acts stern and robust to intimidate his opponents. He changes his behavior in order to cover his identity.

Brief Personal Details/History:

"No more am I just a man of placid science... the world will marvel at the mighty Machine Man!!"

The grandson of a famous sorcerer and a brilliant scientist of cosmology. Following similar academics, Junko developed ingenious knowledge over mechanics, engineering, and robotics. Shunning religion and magic, he desired to prove to all of the nonsense of superstitious beliefs of the world. He had made a name for himself through his technology.

But an anonymous esper with a grudge confronted Jun, holding his young sister Maya hostage. Helpless against a user of magic, Jun had been brutally beaten while the esper was free to steal his technology in order to use it against his beloved ones. In a desperate attempt to stop him, Jun combined unstabled chemicals together and ignited them, setting off a violent explosion which both Jun and his sister barely escaped from. Though he fortunately managed to get his sister into safety by hiding her in a safe spot from the blast, Jun had been caught before he was able to do the same.

Utterly crippled from the blast, Jun had originally been assumed to forever remain bedridden when it was discovered that the explosion which injured him had yielded exciting results - a brand new energy that channels powerful electro-pulses through living tissue. After an extremely dangerous experiment of replacing his heart with an artificial core, Jun had managed to supply his entire body with this new energy.

Reborn as what he believed to be a superhuman, Jun underwent the temporary ego of Pulseman - a powered vigilante that controlled electricity. He often picked fights against corrupted espers and warlocks using his own unique abilities, protecting his loved ones. Unfortunately "Pulseman" eventually turned obsolete, proving to be inferior even against foes who didn't rely on magic but on identical technology. Jun's new energy ran short and his artificial core was starting to burn out. In order to avoid ensuring death, he had given up his Pulseman identity and used miminal energy to supply adequate human performance.

It was not until two years later that Jun had discovered a new alloy of metal dubbed Hamistium. Capable of absorbing all energy, its properties made it a perfect conduit for Jun's energy. Enhancing his artificial core with Hamistium, there was less risk of it burning out. With the remaining Hamistium he salvaged, he was able to build himself a powerful mechanical suit that implemented muscle implants and pulse ray emitters, greatly improving Jun's abilities from when he was Pulseman. With this indestructible weapon at his disposal, he developed a stronger confidence in his power to uphold justice.

Most recently he had encountered a Mahouni named Marigold who possessed extraoridinary powers inherited by an ancient demon. Marigold captured Jun's grandfather, forcing Machine Man to take pursuit of her trail. But after confroting her, Jun's advanced suit barely stood a match against her overwhelming powers. He was willingly spared from destruction when the Mahouni mysteriously vanished with Jun's grandfather. After a quick repair and re-adjustments on his suit, Jun left his distant city in search for Marigold and the whereabouts of his grandfather.


I have three others character in plan, but I am kinda lazy to put them up at the moment lol.

Sadly though, I'm afraid I can't accept either of your characters, they feel like they're from another RP and they completely do not fit with the TOE atomsphere. ^^;

And there isn't any distant land. ^^;

PS: I think I'm going to make a cap on humans, as we're getting alot of them and we don't want too many humans filling up the RP.

Physical Description: Daisuke is a boy of 18 years age with a height of 5'8. With a physically tanned and toned body.

Hair colour: Short black hair with spiky tips
Clothing: wearing black jeans and a white tee, with a black short sleeve hoodie over his white tee. He also wears a black and gray striped scarf around his neck, and black shoes.

Weaponry: Daisuke possesses two dual swords. One that represents the light of the divine angels and heavens. The other represents the darkness of demons of the underworld. These swords cannot be held by anyone else, and only appear when he summons them with his will. These swords have an ability to be thrown across the sky for long range, and can appear back to Daisuke instantly whenever he chooses. He is able to manipulate the swords movements as they soar across the sky. When Daisuke is knocked unconscious, the swords disappear from thin air.

Personality (Allowed to be modified through the RP): Being abandoned by his parents, Daisuke is insecure about his abilities. Has no confidence in his abilities, and considers himself as a failure to the world. Making friends was difficult for him, believing that he will never be accepted by anyone. Has a short temper, but can be very generous and nice to people. Later in the RP, he will find the purpose in his existence.

Brief Personal Details/History: Daisuke was born a human with elven blood, somewhat called a half-elf. He was mistreated differently because of his mix of race. His father being human and his mother an elf. At a young age, the father forced the mother to leave Daisuke so the city would let the couple live in peace. Abandoning Daisuke at Glennfall city, where he was found and adopted by an elven man known as Eiichi.
Eventually he gained the ability to summon two blades with magic. Eiichi taught Daisuke swordsmanship and proper use of magic. Daisuke was skilled in combat, and had graceful air movements in the sky. Even though he was skilled in combat, he believed his power was a curse.

I think you can if you want to. I don't usually have my characters shout arte names (except for magical spells and then describe how it looks like/what's going on) and just describe the choreograph with them wielding their weapons. But I think it's up to you if you want to use the Tales series artes, because I usually don't use them much or at all. =)

I know you stated that you cannot change your allegiance once you have submitted your character, but can an allegiance change while you progress through the story?

Physical Description: A boy with big spiky brown hair, with one part going down part of his head. Height around 5'10. Naota has an excellent build being a martial artist and all, and is very agile.

Clothing: Naota wears nice and formal clothing. Dark blue jeans and a white dress shirt with a black tie. Over the white dress shirt is a formal silver vest, and black shoes. The nice clothes he now wears were once stolen from a wealthy family, considering he could not afford these clothes. He wears it because he loves the style.

Weaponry: Naota specializes in hand-to-hand combat, being a master martial artist. Naota usually wear a black gauntlet on his left hand, and never really takes it off. Although, people say that his left arm feels a lot harder then his right.

Personality (Allowed to be modified through the RP): Naota is carefree and likes adventures. His attitude is positive, and likes to look things on the bright side. Most of the time, he tries to have fun. Naota also loves to battle and fight. A good match is something he craves. He feels very strong about his opinion, and is deeply honest about everything he says. Can be be considered hot-headed in specific situations.

Brief Personal Details/History: Naota was born and raised in Zanark city. He has no memory of his former family, and once lived with a auto-mail engineer and his master named Ryuhei in Zanark among the slums. After a horrible incident that lead to Ryuhei's death, Naota now lives in the slums by himself. Having no occupation, he attempts to steal things from the upper-class townsfolk, in order to survive.

Clothing: Wearing a sailor shirt with a large dark blue ribbon on her chest, with matching color skirt. Over her shirt is a blue pirate longcoat which she leaves open at all times. She’s also wearing dark blue socks up to her knees with black shoes. Also wearing a pirate hat and a bright Aquarius necklace from her mother.

Weaponry: Even for a small girl, she is extremely capable of lifting heavy objects, which implies that her strength is on par of a bodybuilder. She carries around a huge anchor on her back that’s bigger than her own body. The anchor has bright blue jewel at the center, which helps her summon water spells. This weapon was made by the elves. She also carries a dual black flintlock pistols under her coat.

Personality (Allowed to be modified through the RP): Excited and out to have fun. She expresses herself openly and is not afraid of what people think about her. She loves exploring new things, and finding new treasure. Even though she expresses herself as a happy girl, she is still depressed about her mothers unknown whereabouts. Treasure is indeed very important to her, but finding her mother is her true intention.

Brief Personal Details/History: When a young girl, she was always bubbly and excited to go out and play. She came from a family of aristocrats, living in a huge mansion. She would cause all sorts of problems, but she believed it was just having a good time. She loved her mother deeply, which was in an abusive relationship with her father. Etsuko’s mother was driven out of their home by her father, giving Etsuko depression. One day, she ran away from her father and starts to venture the world as a pirate. She became captain on her own ship that she created, where many other pirates joined with her. She states that she’s out to have fun and search for rich treasures, which is basically a minor reason. Deep down, she really is searching for her mother.
